I have the PS5 version of Goat simulator 3 and the DLC for some reason the game is unable to see the DLC when installed. I contacted sony but they have been of little help.

Thanks for the reply. I work in QA and did work in video games QA some years ago. I know what the exact issue is. It's a fault with the crossbuy version of the game for some reason there are 2 different PS5 versions of the game in the UK store (See screenshot Goat 2 version.jpg). One that works with the DLC and one that does not. I have included a number of screenshots to show the problem. it's a tricky one to explain but if you buy the game via a PS4 which is crossbuy, you get both the PS4 and PS5 versions. Then the version of the game you get on PS5 will not work with the DLC. If you then buy the DLC via the PS4, when you try to install the PS5 DLC it will not work as it does not match with the PS5 version the crossbuy gave you.

The reason for this is both PS5 versions have different store ID's and the game and the DLC need to have the same ID for the PS5 to match the two together what happens in my case is as the game and DLC appear to have different ID's as they are from the two different PS5 versions they will not work together. Hence the screenshot I shared in my very first post.

The PSplus version does work with the DLC and is a separate version of the game. As you can see after claiming the psplus version I was able to get my DLC to work.(See screenshot More Goat version.jpg) The issue I have is that I want the version of the game I paid for to work with the DLC. The easy fix for me would be to be given a code so I can add the PSplus version to my account as that version does work with the DLC. As at present I can only use that version while I have a PSNplus account active.

The wider issue is I suspect there has been a mistake by sony as I doubt their should be two PS5 versions in the store. I suspect a number of users may be affected by this as if they have bought PS5 version A or the crossbuy version on PS4 no DLC will show up under that version in the Store. Happy to explain more if needed I have more screenshots as well as a video.
