My daughter has been playing Goat Simulator 3 for a long time and has completed basically everything in the game. Many months ago she did the Birthday Presents mission. She accidentally missed the first present, but then collected the other 11. We spent hours watching online guides to make sure nothing was missed.
We eventually found reports from other players saying that if the first present is not collected before the others, it will never appear again. This makes it impossible to finish the mission on that save file. Another player said they fixed the problem by starting a new game and collecting the presents in the correct order, and then the rewards would also unlock on the original save file.
We tried that, and it worked in the sense that the reward unlocked everywhere. However, the original save file still shows the mission as incomplete. The mission card remains in the top left corner of the screen, and it still displays 11 out of 12 presents collected. There seems to be no way to get that save to recognize that the mission is completed.
So far I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I have also tried playing the save on a different Xbox. The first present still never appears in that save file, so there is no way to finish the mission normally.
I would really appreciate any help resolving this, or any way to reset or complete the mission on that save file. Thank you!
