I’m submitting this ticket only to help prevent a recurring exploit. I’m not requesting any reimbursement or compensation from staff.
Issue:
It’s currently possible to configure a shop with an exploitable price spread (buy/sell loop). If the shop’s “pays players” price is set greater than or equal to its “charges players” price for the same item, a player can repeatedly buy and sell to generate profit and drain the shop owner’s money.
Request:
Please add a safeguard that prevents creating or editing a shop into an exploitable configuration, e.g. block any setup where the shop payout price is ≥ the shop sale price (optionally enforce a minimum spread). This would protect players from accidental misconfiguration and stop the exploit from ever being usable again.
Additional note:
I mistakenly configured my shop prices wrong, thinking they were correctly set up, and another player (@steady tendon) exploited it by repeatedly buying/selling, draining my balance. Again, I’m not asking for refunds—only for a fix so it can’t happen to anyone else.
After this happened, I didn’t realize @steady tendon was in voice chat. Since I was confused, I asked in text chat whether it was possible to open a ticket. He had been quiet in voice chat, but once he saw my message, he insulted me in voice chat (which felt unnecessary, especially since I hadn’t said anything to him directly). I’m sharing this only for awareness and moderation traceability.
Thank you for your help.
