#smithing table GUI using texture for old version

You probably have 2 different versions of Facus resourcepack enabled
modpack default
modpack dosent ship with that gui
you have a old version of facus texturepack
we've updated it a couple times
The ones in Paxi are different from the others
I'm using what was shipped in 1.4.1
Screenshot the resoucepacks screen ingame
seems to still be in the folder of 1.4.1
I deleted the whole resourcepacks folder from 1.4.0 and moved the 1.4.1 folder into my instance
then maybe options.txt caused it to be enabled
fwiw, I'm using Prism and I now see that it's accumulating resource pack versions / not replacing old ones when updating an instance. Maybe that's not what's going on for you, 800020h.
I did have to manually remove that same, old, version of Facu's texturepack.
I manually update the pack
I delete the old folders that have new versions
I just created a 1.4.1 test instance and found this
That is still suppose to be there, those dosent load
Only the paxi one does
It only loaded bcs ur options.txt file included the old file name
Being the one above
why is it supposed to be there if it isn't supposed to load?
To give the authors downloads
so its another instance of artificially inflating download counts?
(if enabling it causes problems and should not be used in the pack, then having the pack download it when it is not supposed to be used is absolutely that)
What even are you talking about
Would ya want me including ya mod and not give ya downloads/credit for it?
Blame the launchers not knowing when something is removed
^
the issue is that you are including something that is not supposed to be used
They have to be there because licenses…
the license requires that you include resourcepacks in your modpack that is not supposed to be used ?
You cannot redistribute without the original
oh, so you are making modifications to the resource pack
Yes
why not just add the replaced resources and load both?
What do you mean? Put our changes into the resource packs folder versions itself?
Not paxi?
just thinking about just including the modified textures as their own pack higher than the original. though i havent checked the changes to the pack as i assumed the updated one was official so the suggestion may not make any sense
It’s not that simple, take Stay Trues variation textures for ores as an example, how do you replace those with a higher resource pack above it
I tried in first versions of the pack
is that why the item textures were reverted to vanilla in later pack versions unless you add the official facu pack?
Hell sometimes even the resource packs wouldn’t load correctly bcs there’s a thing in Neo where “mod_resources” is a resource pack loading above all if not forced through paxi
Aka MI textures and such wouldn’t load
Facu changed a lot of textures for 1.21 if you’re thinking of item texture changes like the apples and such
yeah
Yeah those changed
maybe i am confused, there are 2 different official Facu resource packs in craftoria?
The one custom we include is Facu’s indev one with ingot changes removed
wait, so the license for the indev one says you have to download an incompatible one that isnt used?
Reason why the Facu resource pack above loaded is because the name of the custom one changed not matching the “official” one
launchers clearly didn’t like that
And dosent read removed zips
For some reason
I bet Facu would be fine with me not including it but why would I? Are you saying we shouldn’t credit and have them earn money off their hard work?
I am saying that including things that you dont use to intentionally bump download counts would likely be a CF violation
It’s the same as many modpacks including custom modified mods but also the original one
Bcs licenses
Intentionally bump download counts of assets we use?
What about the assets we use?
they are either on CF and get downloads or included in override according to licensing
Resource packs are included in the manifest file, we cannot change them
We cannot modify them
right
i didnt say you were
If we do include modified versions directly into the resource packs folder the downloaded ones would override them
No matter what ya do
if you are using resources from the 1.19.2 resourcepack, cool
if you are using an indev version of the resource pack from facu that hasnt released as an override and downloading the 1.19.2 resourcepack to give them points, thats different
I guess on that point you’re right, including the indev version didn’t happen too long ago, I think with 1.3.0
But you’re saying we are “inflating” downloads of all resourcepacks included that we also make modifications to
That is not true
We cannot just include something without giving credit
Hence why the whole thing of duplicates existing
is that considered a bug by neoforge?
