Used Hephaestus to make a pick with an Orichalcum head, Durasteel handle and Steel round plate. Orichalcum has a mining level of Netherite according to the book but the finished pickaxe's tooltip says its mining level is only gold and for some reason the pick seems entirely incapable of mining ore, even vanilla copper.

are you sure you didn't make a pickadze? those cannot mine any ores

I see, that is what it called itself. I didn't realise it was actually a separate thing. What's the difference?

a pickadze is a multitool - it works on stone, wood, and dirt

#

the drawback is

#

it doesn't work on any ore

you want to make a Pickaxe most likely, which will only ask for a tool rod, binding, and pickaxe head
