Used Hephaestus to make a pick with an Orichalcum head, Durasteel handle and Steel round plate. Orichalcum has a mining level of Netherite according to the book but the finished pickaxe's tooltip says its mining level is only gold and for some reason the pick seems entirely incapable of mining ore, even vanilla copper.

you want to make a Pickaxe most likely, which will only ask for a tool rod, binding, and pickaxe head

no problem, thankfully the pickadze is the only tool that has that kind of quirk, and you probably won't make a hammer or vein hammer because ultimine exists
