with the diet mod for some reason i get hunger 4 despite the diet looking balanced. However the hunger affect does nothing towards the players hunger.

possibly a client/server config mismatch

the pack by default has a config that makes the negative effects not apply

but if the client has a different config then it might be applying hunger cosmetically
