Ad astra steel is impossible to get and Modern indust steel just doesnt work but from the github page it seems to only not work on servers. The sever hosting default is 2.0.5, would this happen to be fixed in .6?

are you sure the configs are fully running on the server (including the kubejs scripts)? what do you mean "just doesnt work"

Modern industrialization steel doesnt work for ad astra recipes and the mod will force override ad astra steel in any recipe

mm, the ad astra recipes should allow MI steel, perhaps something is not overwriting the recipes appropriately in the kubejs scripts. do you have any errors in the logs?

which recipes didnt work? i just tested with steel plates to make some rocket part and it worked fine
yeah, literally just installed 2.0.5 server, and 2.0.5 client and launched and connected and the recipes seem to be working

i do know there are issues with upgraded worlds and that unifying mod that was removed in 2.0.6, so updating may help
