I've tried different keybindings for this, and double clicking it doesn't always activate it.
I keep running around while trying to activate it. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.
Does it have a cooldown ???
Could it be put on a toggle or something similar...?
As someone else put it so well : "I find that troublesome to reliably activate."

To try, potentially, you need to activate it from trotting. I don't think it activates if you are already holding sprint and then let go to double tab it. Try just pushing W and then doing the double tap, I play on controller and have never had an issue activating it this way.
Double tap and hold.

This is exactly what I'm doing. Activating from trotting. Yet still have difficulty to activate it reliably every time.
