Steam playtime 26.7 hours, estimated actual playtime between 20-21 hours (bug affected save file time tracking).

Currently at the Ram boss battle in Stormvale. Battle does not feel overpowered, it's a question of mastering timing and how the dash is working (keep dashing into the Ram instead of away or just past the Ram, and the timing of 2-2.5 seconds before avoiding the targeted AoE nuke is sometimes slightly tricky). I've gotten 3 hits on the Ram so feel like I've almost got it, but have been sick the last few days so not at the top of my game.

Overall, I still am very impressed with the game. The detailed environments are varied and gorgeous. Just exploring the world is a pleasure. Movement of the fox still feels relatively good. I have some complaints about the Raven deciding not to save me as I plummet to my death, however it's possible that the PS4 controller I am using just needs some new button replacement on that particular button.

There was no discernable clues to finding the magic staff as the third Ram relic. This would have completely blocked all my forward progress save for community help. I would have expected there to be a red smoke plume or something... it's possible this was masked by the ancient tree aura in the same area, but I honestly had no idea where to proceed until pointed out.

There's been a few weird instances with graves and dying, but it's a beta so that's expected for me.

I am still blown away by the overall depth of lore, story, and love that has been poured into this game. It has exceeded all my expectations of a sequel based just on the experience of the first one. I am all in. I will gladly pay full price as soon as it's available and feel happy that I'm getting it.

It feels like I'm about "halfway" through the game. I have noticed that there are lots of areas in the previous parts of the game that I will have to go back to now that I have more "exploration/movement" abilities. There is some irritation here ...

(cont.) because I have to try and remember where all those spots I've seen things that now are clear I need to use spirit form, dash, etc. to get past. Not a huge game breaking problem though 🙂 Fast travel is doable to portals which are relatively spread out without major issues.

There's been a few instances where I'm running across the map to get to a Trash-Panda Trader to buy wisps to unlock a thing, then having to run across the map to where ever the unlock was located. Slight inconvenience but not worth building a new system for.

There's also the weird "pseudo-house" near the Stormvale Shipyard that seems odd. You can store a wisp and up to 100 crystals there? Was this a first pass at player housing before the keyed dwellings and the actual bank? Not sure if this should be left in or taken out.

The dash movement is taking a bit of work as it seems to be based on camera position, not fox heading. Not sure that needs changed, just something I've noticed.

There's been one strange issue with the Light in the Dark achievement popping saying I had done the Forbidden Crypt and Trial of Elders when I didn't. All I did was apparently run across a spot in the overworld and the achievement popped. That was a little odd.

All in all though, it's minor things. The bones of the game are THERE. The world is gorgeous, the lore is nicely sprinkled throughout and is something you get in bits and pieces as you explore, building a more complete picture of what happened.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and will gladly recommend the game when it is complete and out to people. It is overall relatively chill and fun. It's less "chill" than the first, with more elements of fall damage and such, but still much less oppressive than other titles. It's still relatively pleasant and just fun.

Good job. I say this sincerely, well done to the whole team.
