I think the idea is that the document is unofficial and there's nothing confirmed about it really so the server administration doesn't want to seem like they're confirming/endorsing anything about it

I'm pretty sure it would be clear for everyone that pinning the doc is for improving user experience, if you don't want you endorse the content you could say so in the same pinned message

It wasn’t made by the mods of the server, its a fan project, unofficial, with zero backing. Pure speculation

As someone who was around in this server around post Covid, I believe there used to be a document that was pinned then unpinned because and I quote, "Some of the roles were in plain sight while others are completely all wrong" and "We don't want people (especially for those who are playing BoTC for the first time) to get upset at roles that are still being playtested and improved"

the unofficial lil monsta doc got pinned in #experimental-chat recently - that's an entirely unofficial, fan-made guide, yet it's a good enough piece of work that it got pinned regardless
