I managed to expose that 5 out of 6 players were evil then the good team managed to execute the one good player in that

so I ended up winning with evil anyway

Kukalpa

[Demon]

Each night*, even if dead, choose a player: they die. The 1st player (not yourself) to nominate you “is the Demon” instead of you.

The Kukalpa forces people to become the monster they sought to destroy.

• The Kukalpa chooses a player to kill each night, even if the Kukalpa is dead.
• The first player to nominate the Kukalpa (who isn’t themself) immediately becomes “the Demon” for all purposes, even if the Kukalpa dies.
• The good team must kill “the Demon” in order to win and the evil team must keep them alive until 2 players remain alive.
• This only happens the first time that a different player nominates the Kukalpa.
• The “new Demon” still registers as their own character and alignment but they also register as a Demon.
• The player who becomes “the Demon” does not learn this.

How to Run:
The first time that a player who isn’t the Kukalpa nominates the Kukalpa, mark the nominator with the IS THE DEMON reminder. From now on, the Kukalpa is not “the Demon”, and that player is the Demon. They register as their current character and alignment, but they also register as a Demon — the good team must kill them in order to win.

Each night except the first, wake the Kukalpa, even if they are dead. They point at any player. That player dies - mark them with the DEAD reminder. Put the Kukalpa to sleep.

• Kukalpa and Banshee: Only the Kukalpa registers as “the Demon” to the Banshee.
• Kukalpa and Choirboy: Only the Kukalpa registers as “the Demon” to the Choirboy.

It's such a simple idea, and at first glance seems really weak, but if you just think about the implications then it just clicks

bc you realize that good actually doesn't have that many nominations

and in order to try to pool Kukalpa worlds onto a single player, you have to kill that player

so suddenly you get minions spam nomming to act like they've caught the Kukalpa

or minions nomming their Kukalpas to get them out of the line of fire

And you add just a little bit of Crawler or Autarch, or some specific character choices of Hold This! and suddenly things get dicey fast

Courier

[Townsfolk]

Each day, you may visit the Storyteller to learn a task & its reward.

The Courier completes the Storyteller’s tasks for a reward

• Each day, the Storyteller gives the Courier a task of some sort. This can be something like “Hug a player” or “Execute this player.” Tasks can span multiple days if you wish - the possibilities are endless!
• The Courier cannot have 2 different tasks at once.
• The reward can be anything, the Courier might learn information or use some sort of power.
• It is up to the Courier to talk with the Storyteller, not the other way around. This isn’t a public conversation, and the group can’t listen in. It’s private.
• The Courier can choose to not visit the Storyteller if they wish, but due to not learning the task, they cannot get the reward for that day.

How to Run:
Once per day, if the Courier requests a private chat with you, take them away from the circle so you cannot be overheard. Whisper a task and its reward to the Courier. (If you cannot think of what to say straight away, either take your time or ask them to come back in a few minutes.)

If you believe that the Courier has completed their task, mark them with the COMPLETE reminder - give them their reward accordingly. (It might be good to confirm to them that this happened.) Use the 1, 2, and 3 reminders if you need to.

Each night except the first, remove the COMPLETE reminder from the Courier, if they have it.

• Nominate and execute yourself -> Learn if there is a Heretic in play, and who it is.
• Nominate and execute [player claiming Goblin] -> Learn 2 other townsfolk players tonight.
• Correctly guess who is the Recluse and Saint -> Learn if there is a Drunk in play, and who it is.
• Kill the Mezepheles before a player turns evil -> Learn an evil player

The Wig Snatcher adopts the style of the dead

• If the player the Wig Snatcher chooses dies, the Wig Snatcher instantly becomes their character.
• The Wig Snatcher becomes the dead player’s character, even if it’s an Outsider, or a Minion or Demon.

How to Run:
Each night, wake the Wig Snatcher. They point at any player. Put the Wig Snatcher to sleep. Mark the chosen player with the MAKEOVER reminder.

If the chosen player dies that night, wake the Wig Snatcher. Show them the YOU ARE info token, then the character token of the dead player, then put them to sleep. If possible, replace their old character token with the new character token. (You may need to turn character tokens upside-down to remind you that a player’s alignment is opposite to the colour of the token. You may need to remind the player that their alignment is unchanged, by giving a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.)

If you do not have a spare token, simply keep the MAKEOVER reminder on the dead player until you can remove it.

• Spy and Wig Snatcher: The Wig Snatcher cannot become the Spy.
