I raised one of my eyebrows while tapping my feet impatiently, demanding an answer as to why she was awake in the middle of the night for some stories once again. Her expression became solemn as she turned away from her and continued to write her stories.

"You'll realize what I mean soon enough." She responded to my question in my head keeping her answer vague. I squinted my eyes, glaring at her, she always said, how long is she gonna hide this?

Till she dropped to the ground due to exhaustion and overwork? Till she can't write anymore? Till she died? Why does she keep doing this? I walked towards her grabbing her arm forcefully, gripping it, and not letting it loose. Hideyo was surprised as she turned around with widened eyes.

"How long are you planning to write nonstop you idiot? Do you know how dense and oblivious you are to your mental health? Just look at you right now! You haven't slept for weeks!" I snapped at her with irritation and anger, when she wanted to protest, I didn't let her. I'm not going to listen to her saying:

"You won't understand if you know." I pulled her close to me, picked her up, and put her on the bed.

I began swinging my hand as chains started to tie her up to the bed. She was shocked and tried to move but couldn't.

"Ivar! What are you doing?!" She shouted in a panic tone, I put on an irritated tone, landing my hand on her forehead.

"Putting you to sleep, you need it," I responded stoically, making my magic flow through my hand and into her head.

"Wait stop I need to" I put my hand on her mouth, not letting her talk as the magic kept running through her body. Her body began to weaken as it became tired and her vision turned hazy.

"You're too stubborn," I grumbled, her eyes closed as she fell asleep. I sighed in relief, finally, she was getting some rest. I backed away from her, turning my attention to her book, there were some entries in it. What... Is this?

*"August 24, 20xx, X died in a car crash but managed to escape her fate" *

"August 25, 20xx X escaped her fate again, but this time, the gatekeeper caught on to her and Bella they've been transferred to Hell's torture Chamber as punishment, their verdict hasn't been decided yet."

I couldn't believe it, why are her stories written like some sort of fate report? And why are their names redacted? Suddenly, the book starts writing on its own, as if it has its own life.

"September 17 20xx, the day of the Talented Sorcerer match made Ivar recover his memories due to your actions, he Will be removed from this world once he recovers those memories, do you accept this change?"

I stared at the book in disbelief, removed from this world. What is this? Playing some sort of God?

I want to brush it off as her just making stories based on our real names but... She never does that, she always hides our real names, no matter how much the characters are similar to the US. The text began appearing in the book once more. I began reading it.

"Restarting Ivar's memory... Loading..."

Wait wait wait! Why are they- before I could finish the book became bright and I closed my eyes, I slowly opened my eyes, but nothing happened. I look at the book again, a bit Scared.

"ERROR! A mysterious entity has blocked the access."

I blinked my eyes in disbelief, are they talking about Thaddeus? The self-proclaimed fallen angel that was said to Made this world? He is not here right now though. he's busy handling other stuff. There were more questions than answers, i turned my attention to Hideyo, gazing at her with a suspicious look.

"Why do I have a feeling you're playing God here..."

August 26, 20xx

"DAMN IT!" These are the first words that came out of Hideyo's mouth once she opened her book, it startled me when I Heard it, I watched as she gripped onto her thousand of pages of paper on the table, toiling her desk. She gritted her teeth, unable to contain her desperation yet anger.

"WHY DID I HAVE TO TAKE A REST THAT DAY?! NOW I CAN'T CHANGE THEIR FATE AT ALL!" She shouted in frustration ruffling her hair as she took the pen, going through the papers, searching for some certain pages.
So she is playing God with that book, it's no wonder rest or taking care of one's health never came to her mind. She is too busy fiddling with the fate of this world. The question is how long has she been doing this? Where did she get that type of power from? What led her to this? Even with those questions unanswered, I have one role to play, and I'll make sure I play it well.
I walked close to her as she was panicking, searching for a way to at least rewrite the fate of these people that seemed important to her.

"Hideyo," I called out, Hideyo Froze in place for a bit before turning her head towards me. My eyes widened once I Saw the tears in her eyes, she noticed the change in my expression and instantly wiped off her tears, hiding the fact she was stressed out and gone mad due to this.

I clenched my fists. She always hides her pain no matter what, this freaking idiot... I pulled her close to me, hugging and gripping her tightly. I Made sure I held her gently, I didn't want to hurt her despite my irritation. She stayed quiet and couldn't say anything, I gripped her back.

"Stop playing God Hideyo, you're driving yourself insane, You're a human and living being, not some sort of deity that never sleeps," I advised yet... Those words didn't seem to reach her as she pushed me away.

"I know, I just need to"

"Do some random people's lives matter more than your sanity?"

"RANDOM?! THEY'RE MY FRIENDS AND-"

"And?"

She stayed quiet, she knew she couldn't find the right words, biting her lower lips, she clenched her fist and lowered her head. I knew it, she never considered bad people as her friends deep inside, she's doing this just to fill her supposed righteous moral ego as it satisfied her. I sighed deeply, this idiot, always wanted to seem like a good person so she could make everyone happy just for her satisfaction.

I can't stand her righteous moral sometimes, she can't just think everything will go her way, she might have god-like power by writing fates but no matter how I look at it, she's still a naive human being who doesn't know the price of it, I know that when she received this power, she didn't know the weight and unrealistic responsibility behind it that not even a human being as kind as she could handle it.

"Hideyo, being a god requires sacrifices, you can't handle that, so stop controlling fates like you're some sort of deity and-" "

“STOP?! DO YOU THINK IT'S THAT EASY TO RESTART THIS ONCE-APOCALYPTIC WORLD AND SAVE ALL OF YOU?!" She snapped immediately, her pent-up anger and frustrations resurfaced once more. I immediately backed away, startled by her action.

She never gets mad like this, Hideyo pants heavily as she calms down, shivering slightly before widening her eyes. She covered her mouth, realizing her mistake. I came up to her, reaching my hand out so I could comfort her once more, but she stopped me in my tracks. crossing her hands as she rubbed her wrists, trembling slightly as fear enveloped her. I stayed quiet, not knowing what to do.

Suddenly, a name that was familiar to me came once I gazed at her again as a reflection of a simple girl who seemed to appear in front of me with cracks across her body.

"Nadya?"

The illusion immediately shattered to pieces, revealing Hideyo in front of me. She stared at me with a disbelieving expression, I froze a bit before shaking my head, what the heck was that vision? And who is this... Nadya person that I saw? As the silence dawned on us, I sighed, I'm hallucinating again, aren't I? I could hear the sound of someone weeping, when I raised my head, she was crying again. I squinted my eyes, no matter how annoying it was seeing her cry, it still hurt me no matter what. She's my best friend after all.

"Why are you crying, come on now," I said as I cupped her cheeks, wiping off the tears that were dropping from her eyes. She looked at me, holding my hand, trying not to cry again.

"I don't want you to disappear.." She muttered quietly, ah that? So she doesn't want what's written in her book to happen that much?

"I'm not gonna vanish Hideyo, don't worry about it." I comforted them with a calm tone, she didn't seem to believe me. Of course, she's not going to believe me, she is some sort of deity and things that are in the Book of Fate can't be changed if the timer runs out, even though I'm not sure if I won’t disappear... I want to at least cheer her up

"I'm always here for you no matter what."

Hideyo gazed at me, wrapping her arms around me. Her eyes were reflecting a solemn expression, she’s still a bit upset but not as much. She’s worried about it and doesn’t trust me that much huh? It’s fine, as long as she cheered up even just a bit. I patted her head before pulling away from her.

“Get some sleep alright?” I advised, and she nodded. A small smile formed on my face, ruffling her hair, I walked away from her and held the door, I turned to her before putting on a serious face once again.
