I wrote these many moons ago.
- A cup of thoughts
She didn’t say goodbye, I try not to cry.
I can’t even drink my cup of chai.
my mind is not shy, it begins to wonder why.
She couldn’t just reply?
I tend to overthink, I look down at my drink
I’m just on the brink, I know if I blink
the tears will stream down in sync.
oh why do I think?

My mind fears, it tries to make things clear.
It whispers in my ear, saying things I wish I couldn’t hear.
- Rain is a blessing
The water trails, maybe I can finally set sail.
the drought was so severe, no water for a year.
perhaps the rain will bring it back, the sky full of black.
The people burst open their doors, as the rain still pours.
buckets begins to fill, the people are so thrilled.
maybe we can live after all, because of the rain that falls.

the streams start to run, but when all of this is done,
I want to explore, the mighty shore.
it was just in my dream, but for once I smile with gleam.
Soon it will be the truth, I’ve wanted this since I was in my youth.
How can people be stressing, when rain is such a blessing?
- Hide and seek
The wind howls, the leafs blow.
The trees sway, the hawk comes out to play
The rabbits hide, the hawk glides
Then he sees, the rabbits that seek refuge beneath the shades of the trees
He takes flight, he’s ready to bite
The rabbits begin to flee, the bird just smiles in glee
He doesn’t mind a game of chase, for it is him they will soon have to face.
He swoops them off the ground, oh how he admires what he found.
The game of hide and seek comes to an end, my tiny little friend.
