omori >>>
used to play decent amount of games but then uni, aaa
Any music rhythm gamers here?
I occasionally play osu
I used to play rhythm games on mobile
love live and banduri
Banduri? tried to search for the name and all I found are architectural stuff
Thougu rhythm games I main are like, jubeat and osu, could play a bit of maimai and SDVX tho but only mid difficulties
mostly arcade tho
Banduri = bang dream
Oops it's meant to be bandori*
Never heard of those other ones you mentioned
Oh so Bandori
Though surprised you never heard Konami/Benami music rhythm game series, like they are kinda the Nintendo but for music rhythm games, as well as large portion of songs you found from osu originates from various games, particularly beatmania IIDX since that game is around early 2000s and song collection only gets larger then
I've only played a few, I'm not like a major fan of rhythm games. So I don't have much knowledge bout them
I dont play that much either, other than few arcade games and decent months in osu, but you will see that many osu beatmaps have those games listed as source or tags
Granted some songs arent there as some are pretty obscure
Test
Another test

maybe if I don't suck so much at FPS
people are mad good and as a lefty I'm already at a disadvantage
I need an easy mode for it to be enjoyable
It has campaign lol
I will play at some time
@timid basin You tried playing OW2?
I would've tried it today, but right out the gate they've had severe server issues
I can't even log in because the OW2 servers aren't processing cross platform data properly
Which might be a sign, lmao
And yes, the choice to even try was against my better judgement
xO I see
I can;t play cuz my acct region is wrong
Wont let me change
Which means I cant put in my phone number that they decided to make compulsory -.-
Yep
The game that functioned perfectly fine without it, they looked at it and went "it needs more security"
I never had an issue with hackers or toxicity in the original
Which I don't speak for everyone of course but did it really happen so often they just had to make a phone number a requirement?
get a cheap sim card and make a new account
But then my skins
I'm trying to change my region with this online service thing, but it aint working
contact customer service ig
You could probably go through customer support hell?
And in order to change it with an agent, I have to email like a utility bill and shit
I'm just gonna wait and see if anything changes
Not that desperate to play to go through all the trouble -.-
Mood, felt that way earlier trying to get my damn account verified
Because for some reason it became unverified, so I request a verification email and...nothing
I look around online, try again a few times: nothing
Only an hour later did the emails come in to my inbox to verify
nada. I can't get past the loading screen
Rip
20K WHAT
At least you get to load in Sen
I get stuck in an infinite loop when it tries to put me in a server ;w;
Nope, that's the boot queue
I haven't gotten into any other screens lmao
Still 1 step closer than I am lol
Overwatch 2 - In Queue: 100 Players ahead of you
Getting Close
OH FOR FUCKS SAKE
20000 Players ahead of you in Queue
Yeah, that seems to be happening to people as well
I think it's another server issue, but don't quote me on that
I forgot that tumblr had a field day with the original game, wow
Hey wow I got into queue without a server error
400 players
Time to wait 8 years and see if anything comes of this
Whee, service time-out
This is just comedic at this point
sigh
Overwatch 2 is just not for me igs
Only blizzard can fuck up a game launch this bad and that's why it's hilarious
Update: the server issues are from a DDOS attack
All these security measures that they really thought would do something and they're immediately shut down day 2
Incredible, and if anything deserved
OW2 servers should be mostly fixed, as of 20-ish minutes ago? We'll see
Wait fr?
I got in earlier
Either they haven't migrated my progress from Playstation to PC or I need to log in once on Playstation, but yes they work now
Takes a bit but they're also working on that, very slowly
Aaaand now I wait in a queue again: but this time on my playstation
Valorant
I don't have that installed
play genshin instead
Don't have that either
Also my playstation progress is...also not there
So either I have to wait or it's just gone :)
Terra Invicta has a steep learning curve, but I’m already beginning to enjoy the game. More ramblings to come once I get more hours into the game.
The in-game tutorial is subpar crap. It gives you an overview of the game’s numerous interfaces, but does nothing as far as teaching how to play the game and what clicking on a lot of the buttons does.
Luckily, Perun is excellent at explaining how the game works. Without his YouTube channel the game would be inaccessible.
Half hour of waiting and I'm in the Final Stretch
YES SO CLOSE IT IS COUNTING DOWN
Okay okay. Battle Pass/Shop actually isn't that bad.
What's this queuing for?
The main freaking menu
Of ...?
O' right, I see.
Doesn't sound very nice, but I suppose if a game is popular enough people will do whatever it takes to get in.
Its not supposed to be like this lmao
I just wanted to see the new menu, the battle pass, the shop, see all the major changes. The new UI is nice, the shop isn't as hopeless as I thought, but the battlepass character unlock is unacceptable.
I prefer the old UI
bruh
I just popped off playing Moira
I wish I could play at all
The enemy team was kicking our asses until I started to flank and take out their healers >:3
What are your mains?
I used to be real cracked at D.Va, I played a mean Mercy (we're talking gold healing and at least bronze-silver in kills on average I did not pull punches)
DPS I played Ashe
I use past tense here because obviously I'm rusty as hell (and playing on PC now not console so I have to adjust)
I used to average anywhere from 30-40 kills per game with D.Va
She's 100% my kind of tank and is perfect for rushing an enemy team's key characters
You can tell I was going "this is super risky oh no" the entire time because I panicked a little at the end
Thought the Sojourn was still alive
I was the team's only healer (smh), so ignoring them to flank in it of itself was potentially a bad idea
But no one else would flank and get their healers so
And uh, yeah I still know a good bit of Moira's move tech given I would completely screw over people's aim in that match heh
Thank :3
Now that was a spicy play
Cassidy players are either the deadliest thing in existence or completely unaware of their surroundings: no in-between lmao
The key to ulting with Cassidy is to get to an area that the enemy team won't expect you to come from
Once you do that it's most of the time an ez win
For DPS I like to play Soldier and Mei
Only reason I know this is because D.Va bomb works in a fairly similar way
Soldier's recoil is awful on console, but on PC it's a joke
Recoil big, but handling it is fine
OH WAIT they changed Mei didn't they?
So her ice gun doesnt freeze anymore
But yeah D.Va bombs: I tend to drop 3-4 kills on average with them, sometimes a 6
And it's because everyone expects them to be launched in from a horizontal direction
So when it comes down from the sky or a hole in the roof instead? They can't react in time
Yeah Mei got a good amount of changes
They changed characters people found really irritating: we'll see if for better or for worse
They buffed Sombra, even tho she was already good
She went from good, to bad and then back to good really
Sombra's reworked kit wasn't anywhere near as good as her original in my opinion
The Mei change is good I'd say, but as someone who likes to play Mei, rip T-T
I used to play Mei, and always felt bad doing so ;w;
Took about ninety more minutes of playing Terra Invicta, but I'm finally getting US control points. Priority number 1: turn the whole country into a welfare state in order to cut down on inequality and up cohesion.
Meanwhile the whole of Mexico and Canada already belong to my faction.
Now to keep on chipping away at the US of A.
There we go. All mine.
Took about four months of hard campaigning.
For some reason Cohesion has dropped down to Polarized again, so I'll have to take care of that.
Inequality is still high, but I'm fixing it slowly.
Now to use this super power to go to space.
You play as one of seven factions. All of the factions have their own ideologies and agendas. Each of the factions is a shadow organization without a specific nationality.
In the beginning of the game you spend a lot of time establishing base resources, which is easier done through taking control of large or medium sized nations.
Once you control multiple nations you can form coalitions.
Humanity First vows to exterminate the aliens alongside any who sympathize with them. Led by Colonel Hanse Castillo.
The Servants worship the aliens and believe they will solve all the troubles of the world. Led by Superior Judith Howell.
The Protectorate advocates negotiated surrender as the only means to avoid annihilation. Led by Commissioner Kiran Banerjee.
The Academy hopes the alien arrival heralds the opportunity to form an interstellar alliance. Led by Chancellor Li Qingzhao.
The Initiative seeks to profit from the chaos and destruction. Led by Chairman Soren Van Wyk.
Project Exodus plans to build a massive starship and flee the Solar System. Led by Director Khalid Al-Ashgar. ```
I'm playing the tutorial, which means playing as The Resistance.
Basically XCOM, but with a bigger budget and more influence to throw around.
As you can see the game is set up so the factions don't exactly get along with each other.
Ohhh I see
I thought it was just the usual build city and take over other cities
Interesting
No, no … this is a whole other kind of game from the likes of Civ.
The main issue is the game is crap at explaining how it works.
Whenever something new comes up I have to go online to find out how stuff works.
For example I just got enough boost capacity to launch a habitat into low earth orbit.
The game doesn’t make it easy to find the buttons to push in order to get the habitat up there.
Getting into OW2 is super easy
We're talking 0 queue time whatsoever
And account merge is finally functional: so hopefully I can get my stuff ;w;
Mmm, should not have tried Ashe my first game on
That...went as horribly as it could
My aim is awful now
I realized that I sucked at Overwatch 2 today
I keep getting my ass handed to me
I'm the one who should be handing asses, not the other way around
Hmm...have you played the original? Or are you trying to find your mains?
(Also doesn't help they locked heroes behind games..)
Oh, I've played the Original.
I was a god at Overwatch back in the early days
2016-2018 I was king shit of Overwatch Mountain
but, rust has started to spread it would seem
I've always been shit at OW
It's okay Saiza, you've got Valorant
Once I can actually play OW, we should all play together!
Yes.
I get the rust (that ashe game genuinely left me ashamed of myself)
What characters have you tried so far?
I've only played Rein and Hanzo since the new game launch
Rein I'm sure you'll get back into the swing of things with time
Hanzo can be a rough one to warm up with
What also doesn't help is that they changed it from 6v6 to 5v5: effectively changing team meta as a whole so now things feel kinda...funky
I'm down :3
yeppppp
5v5 is something...
It hurts to only have 1 healer and 1 tank and then 3 DPS
Like it just feels wrong
Old team meta was usually 1 tank 2 healer or 2 tank 1 healer
And then 3 DPS
Do you guys know why they changed it to 5v5?
To help fix counter-meta
Which...it did? You can kinda play whatever character you want now
Switching is no longer needed to win a game
(Unless you know: no one chose a tank or healer)
to make me want to die
the only answer I can think of
xO
It hasn't bothered me too much
...Yet
I'm trying to hone my aim with Ashe again on bots
Getting a little better..? ;w;
It's gonna be a while
Smh. I can't even play a scary good anything rn
My chronic laziness isn't letting me do anything.
My brain is in discord slowmode
Maybe just not having a good day? I'll have days where even on stuff like Monster Hunter I'm just not doing well
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST SHIT I HAVE EVER HAD HAPPEN TO ME HELP
Our team's genji was horrified
...Also I popped that tracer in the head 6 times that game
And the team took note because everytime it happened they would stop and look at me like "what the fuck is wrong with you, how is this the only headshot you can hit consistently"
smh
That's why I'm practicing okay ;w;
Speaking of practice. I might as well hop on if and procrastinate working on my story.
I'm making mac and cheese at the moment, but I'll join when I can if you want me to :3
first POTG of Overwatch 2
possibly.
depends on if my friend is okay with more company
Well done, a somewhat risky Rein push but it paid off
I like people who aren't afraid to take risks as a tank: some play overly safe (and this is exactly why D.Va is one of my mains lol)
D.Va is all about aggressive pushes and eliminating softer targets to hinder the enemy >:3
It feels good to calculate the odds of a potential push as a tank
Indeed. the 'TEAM KILL!' was very satisfying
That is always satisfying to hear
we ended up hearing 3 more times that match
Damn
There starts to become a point where you're slaughtering so hard that it just starts to make you feel bad honestly
Haven't had any issues with people
Was sure I was going to that game where I played an abysmal Ashe
Well that’s good
Here is my battletag:
TheSentinel#11887
played a bit of OW2, discovered the new bot control mode. Interesting concept
Bot control mode?
Oh, the gamemode?
I think it's a nice detail that the characters have different reactions to moving the robot
me too.
Loving a lot of the new content
it's really fun so far. Open Queue has me interested in actually playing again. I stopped playing as soon as I couldn't flex Queue in OW1
Yep, forcing queue onto people really ruined things
Hopefully OW2 will flourish now that they removed a lot of the dogshit balance changes and rebalanced a lot of the game.
Actually impressed with how similar yet different the game feels to the old overwatch days. The game has a new lease on life it would seem
They took a lot of steps back in a mostly good way
As long as you have one healer and one tank teams work fine just like old times: no longer do you have to constantly switch characters
true.
Just got out of a match where people were actually complaining there were still old maps in the game. Like what? Bro? You want less content??
I personally don't really care what map I play on. I just don't understand why people would bitch about old maps still being in the game
Because people are simply never satisfied
Dammit I went to play and servers are down rn
should've read the warning brah
I did
I didn't even open the game
Hadn't opened battlenet since noon which is why I didn't see it in advance
smhhh
Gotta wait till 10PM CST
FINALLY
Can you get in Saiza owo?
You have played OW1 before right? On PC?
Yep
Then you should be able to get in hopefully
...Anyway shepherd of fire intensifies (fuck this guitar solo always slaps)
I heard OW 2 is on switch but I have yet to check
It is
We all are
I'd be dogshit on switch
You have your gaming laptop
Right
I have no break until late november cries
I played on playstation for all of OW1
Imagine how I feel trying to relearn how to aim on PC
I was already terrible OW player on console
wut console you got tho
So switching to PC was fine for me (plus I done it after playing Valo for a while)
I have an xbox one
I was so good at console aim I could flick, something PC players believe to be impossible with a controller but it isn't
get a switch and play cozy switch games
My aim on consol is Terrible
same
Lile how tf you control that shit
I keep running into walls bruh
My father is a huge playstation guy
Legit that's how we got our PS5: Sony hit him up and went "you want one"
He beta-tested for the...PS2, I believe?
gimme the playstation 5
my family will abuse it
It's...alright really? Not a lot to play on there but man are the controllers nice
Aren't there lots of exclusives
tbh i like that you can play games that are made for PS4 on PS5
I played Forbidden West, which was great and shockingly dark for the Horizon series
...And I know what everyone is thinking
Yes Aloy looks like Niko Avocado
No I don't know why they changed her facial structure between games ;w;
I also (begrudgingly) played through Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
Do not recommend for one reason: the damn Cairn stone minigame
That minigame was a different level of obnoxious
what do you do in the minigame
Cairn Stones were an activity done by some ancient civilizations, and it's literally just stacking rocks
Doesn't sound bad on paper right?
When I tell you that some of those Cairn Stones took me upwards of 2 hours sometimes: I mean it. It was that bad.
ah yes torture
Yes
ey im in OW2
Nice
Do they let you try kiriko for a bit for free?
If you have OW data you just get her for free
If you don't have your OW data: you need to account merge if you haven't already
Especially if said data was on console
Seems like it takes a bit for you to become eligible for account merge though: that's how it went for me at least
She has zero DPS unless you can really aim, but pretty great support kit all things considered
Yeah she's a good support
Ah yes
I love joining a game that is 10 secs from ending
And the team I join loses
Yeah they never fixed that issue
Also it just occurred to me that my aim is hindered by the fact that I do not play on a solid surface
I play on my bed
Bruh
yes that is def it
Also horrible position
Used to play valo on my bed
Not only bad aim
But fkn hurt my back
Wait
I have no space for a set-up though ;w;
Moiras shift feels dif'
LMAO my fuckin game crashed
Trying kiriko here and there
Getting accustomed to her kit
...I wonder how much my aim would improve if I put my mouse on a book or something
time to make room
break the wall
Okay uh
A flat surface to move my mouse on has made things weirder but also better?
of course it would
once upon a time i played games on my bed
I used the bolster + my laptop cover as the mousepad
this was when my mom was in quarantine due to covid and she took up my study
I...don't entirely know if this has made an improvement or not, oddly
Fuck I hate sym
Her hit box is so frail
I just for the life of me cannot hit her
Every other character I can manage but sym is just too slim somehow
I can ping a tracer in the head 6 times in a row with a handicap no less: but cannot land a single shot on symmetra regardless of the distance
Why am I like this
I have awoken with a need to play OW2
I just got battlenet installed on my steam deck
Heres hoping I get Diablo 3 and Overwatch 2 running
If I wanted to do that I could just use my PC lmao ( I work from home). I'm heading to visit family a few hours away, so I figured I'd show off my SD
Ohh I see
Indeed.
It's a bit of a hassle to get non-steam games working, but I think I've got it figured out
Anybody play Civ 6?
Once upon a time, yes. Then Civ got old. I would have liked Civ 6 more, but Endless Legend does it way better.
Similarly, I played a bit of Beyond Earth, but that game never felt as good or interesting as Alpha Centauri.
Although I have several hundred hours in both Civ VI and Beyond Earth, I feel no desire to play either.
I'm not sure if it's just me: but I forget that Symmetra as a character is actually a bit of an antagonist
So caught up in the belief she's making change under the corporate name that she almost pushes it onto others and ignores all the bad it can cause
Not all of her interactions are negative in essence; but a lot do remind you that she sees things in a way that isn't maybe the best
A real middle-road character in terms of good and evil
Just a bunch of lore
She works for a corporation that "fixes" cities among other things
But it would seem that corporation has a shady history, and might even be oppressive to the populations it tries to help according to lines from Lucio
Oh, I see
If I remember correctly, the corporation she works for destroyed Lucio's home and never did anything besides that? Something along those lines
This video ticks all my boxes
Overwatch 2 is finally out. Here’s why it’s really good to play, and why a lot of people seem to hate it for following in the footsteps of other shooters.

A rough launch and let's be real this didn't deserve the sequel treatment? Absolutely it's more like a big update
But did they have a lot of development issues people ignore just to make fun of the final product? Yeah, even if some choices by them were still their own and really stupid
Did you already watch it?
I just got up that's really just how I see it tbh
Basically what is said in the video is fairly similar to what you said
Like don't get me wrong the monetization and the way they handle new players is horrible
And as far as we know entirely on them
But everything else has been out of their hands or handled fine enough
Even if I still think it's kinda deserved, they didn't know they were gonna immediately get DDoSed
how did they deserve to get DDoSed?
"We appreciate your response and feedback" proceeds to completely ignore any and all backlash people have about their poorer decisions
Like at bare minimum people wanted the bs "new players need to play a minimum of 150 games to fully unlock all characters" removed
But they couldn't even bother
I actually don't have a problem with the character locks at all
I honestly don't understand the amount of gripes people reach to come up with tbh
Because you're not actively affected by it and I'm not either
We both have prior OW data
The problem is new players don't have the same advantage we have, making things inherently unbalanced
They did this solely to squeeze money out of that 40$ watchpoint pack
There is no purpose to it other than that
...and?
The game went free to play, which means people can play the game for free, and then unlock characters as they go
How is this different from Apex?
Or literally any other f2p fps shooter
Apex I dunno, at least started like that? Most games at least started in a state where characters were not too big of a deal
Even with counter-meta removed limiting the options people have is...really bad for Overwatch in particular
At least it isn't like R6 Siege where you buy the game, and then also have to buy characters
I disagree. I think limiting the characters off the bat actually gives people more of a chance to like the game before diving into high skill characters they'll fail at and hate the game because of
also, where tf did you hear '150' games??
it's literally 50
Almost like this could be avoided completely with an information system per character giving a general run-down of how difficult their kit can be
Instead of locking things
oh shit, nevermind it is 150, they have tier list
shrug I think this works better
but hey, whatever man. The game isn't bad, and a lot of the reasons people are throwing down hate are just kind of whiny
It's like if monster hunter locked weapons
You would not know which one you actually fit best until you unlock it
Which can be bad because you could've spent that time practicing the one you fit best instead of say, the lance
I haven't played monster hunter...
Locking folks out of that choice leads to forced-play and not actually knowing there's a character you'll like to play
Gonna be honest before I got my stuff none of the choices they do give new players really fit me much
None of the DPS, only 1 tank, and support I always play
If an old player feels that way? Can't imagine how new ones feel
And that is why characters are important for Overwatch in particular: everyone has their niche
But I guess it's just a matter of per-person bias
Yes, no matter what we feel on the locked characters: it functions
All that matters
I also get the feeling, Blizzard will be changing a lot of the progression stuff soon.
Too much rage on how long it takes to level up
It's in the cards
I don't think it's too bad right now? Then again I'm only tier 10-ish
I think it is sort of ridiculous tbh. If they raise the exp gained or lower the exp required to level ever so slightly, it will make the battle pass more enticing.
10/80 in just a few days isn't that bad I don't think
As for how much playtime went into it? Yeah, probably should be changed
Playtime is the key here.
I think having only 80 tiers makes it much more approachable
But compared to other games giving you 20 more items for the same price? Dunno..
Also no flak to Lance players, I played Lance in World (I don't think it got the greatest treatment in Rise but it's still noice)
Overwatch 2 Cosmetics > Apex Cosmetics
Fortnite is a different beast entirely, not even going to compare the two. So many crossovers it's astounding.
Eeeh
I don't play Apex enough to really have a say on it
From what I've seen both feel pretty samey
Fortnite scares me
You see the results for their survey on what people want? There is some outlandish stuff in there
Like if I ever against literally impossible odds create something people like and get an email from Epic one day? I'm locking my house down and hiding in the bathroom
They will find you, and they will get you to sign a contract that might actually have some decent terms LMAO
smh, scary epic employee
Instead of "you're going to brazil," it's gonna be "you're going to fortnite"
Oh it absolutely isn't bad
But man, they manage to get some really strange crossovers
Two weeks to Victoria 3.
Introversion Software added a zombie apocalypse DLC to Prison Architect.
They are officially out of ideas 🤣
left twitch running in the back ground for 2 and then 4 hours last night
got my OW2 Kiriko voice line and legendary skin
Inspired by Factorio and Rimworld, Stardeus is a deep colony sim set on a broken starship manned by drones and hibernating human survivors. As the immortal AI you will have your drones repair your starship, save or exploit your human crew and travel the stars in this beautifully complex simulation of a procedurally generated universe. With only ...
$29.99
looks like a neat game
I have been meaning to take a look at that.
Factorio is great :3
Factorio is neat, but doesn't offer much in the way of emergent storytelling.
I much prefer games like Rimworld, which are built with emergent storytelling as a core component of the game loop.
Stardeus looks like one of those, because it is being touted as Rimworld+.
Which is not bad.
Hm ... they are asking 29.99 EUR for Stardeus.
That's a pretty big price tag for an indie game.
This better be good, because you can get Oxygen Not Included for 22.99 EUR.
Only Rimworld itself (among its peers) is 29.99 EUR (as far as I know), so the developers of Stardeus certainly have balls to ask for the same price.
"Processor: x64 architecture with SSE2 instruction set support, ARM64"
Got to say it's a little weird to see references to 20 year old tech.
I guess they are trying to say this thing will run on a potato?
Potato :3
Don't get me wrong: I love it when devs build a low entry point into their games. Means you don't have to have the latest and greatest hardware to enjoy their game.
It just looks a bit weird, is all.
Ah, Nook did a three hour stream of the game.
Let's have a look.
O' ... Stardeus is published by a subsidiary of Paradox Interactive.
Apparently Paradox Arc is the new publishing arm of Paradox Interactive tailored specifically towards indie games.
Okay, now I understand the 29.99 EUR price tag.
no wayyyy
That hypes me a little bit.
Paradox Arc also has a second game called Across the Obelisk.
It's a Slay the Spire with a party of four heroes exploring a fantasy map, fighting monsters, collecting loot, buying new cards, and heading towards boss fights.
I'm a little burned out on Slay the Spire, but this looked good too.
You know Cultist Simulator? The indie company responsible is making another game called Book of Hours.
So that's an automatic addition to my wishlist.
After a couple of hours of watching various Let's Play and reading reviews it's confirmed.
Stardeus is a must buy.
Done.
Got to say the Stardeus UI takes a minute to get familiar with.
However, I can already feel it is a vast improvement over other UIs.
There are a ton of Quality of Life improvements, which make playing the game so much smoother.
For example, if I want to build a matter reactor to produce more electricity, I can hit tab to open a search function.
I start typing "reactor" into the search and it automatically shows me all blueprints (currently only one) with the word reactor in it. From there I can select the blueprint I want to build and left-click to build. No need to go hunting for the thing in the menus, of which there are a lot. There are also a ton of contextual menus, which means no need to go hunting for stuff in the menus. The menus are there if I don't remember something or don't know how, but obviously the game is full of shortcuts to take once you know what you are doing.
And it's all pretty intuitive once you play around with the system a bit.
Awesome stuff.
(Also, why do clubrooms have slowmode enable? Makes no sense to me)
Okay, learned something new. You got to daisy chain everything in the game, or else it doesn't work. The logic being the ship AI needs a connection to all systems to do even a simple thing like turn them on.
I thought you were a whole ass new person, Cy.
All I did was change my pfp 😄
Well, not to worry, you'll have ample opportunity to get used to this one for a year or two before anything changes.
I just bought armor for Mario that was 20,000 coins
H e l p :)
It increased every stat by 20 and adds 150 defense
Mario
Is legitimately almost as strong as bowser is (to be fair bowser is like 8 levels behind)
O h
And he's immune to status effects..
TRIPPING COUNTS AS A STATUS EFFECT
MARIO CAN'T BE TRIPPED ANYMORE
THAT'S SO BROKEN
?
SHAUN
Valorant is such a bad game ngl (I'm still playing it anyway)
When the game's tutorial starts to look like schoolwork something has gone horribly wrong.
Well, it's not quite that but ... it's not that far either.
Basically, this is what you are supposed to use to figure out how to complete the rest of the tutorial. The game has stopped holding your hand and ends up giving you objectives to complete with a few keywords and short bits of descriptive to get you started.
Once you have completed a quest the game gives you a reward.
And opens up more quests to complete.
This is my current quest log.
Come to think of it ... it is kind of testing me, because you can fail some of the quests.
This is schoolwork 🤣
The game itself is enjoyable, but the tutorial is exactly what it looks like.
The trader will buy biowaste? I can get 51 space bucks per barrel of biowaste? What is this game?
Okay, fair enough, a barrel of poop won't buy a lot in this game.
But you can trade with it.
Looking at the tech tree it’s pretty obvious the bio waste is meant to be recycled and used in a variety ways. Mostly for growing crops in planter boxes of varying size.
Still, I like the idea of a space trader riding across the galaxy with a mountain of bio waste.
Once I get to that part of the game I’ll have to check out the stock market value of bio waste.

reminded me of Cypress
Victoria 3 tomorrow. Hype is real.
I'm having a look at this game. First impressions are ... not bad. The ship building looks nice and so does the combat.
The developer said the game is a sandbox without any overarching story. There are factions that offer missions you can do. Resources to gather, money to gain, and upgrades to upgrade.
My initial thoughts are this game needs more time to bake to make it a must-buy.
Dev said the factions don't currently interact with each other, but he would like to add functionality like that.
Maybe adding on-going wars between factions.
But what the player is doing is functioning as a freelancer who can do ... whatever the player wants.
This is fine, but the universe around the player needs to be alive.
An interesting place to explore and adventure in.
Based on what the dev is saying there's not a lot more than a bare bones missions system in the game right now.
I'll wishlist this game, because it might go somewhere.
I sort of misunderstood how workers work in Stardeus. The dev said you are not supposed to depend on your human workers to make things happen. Instead, the goal of the game is to tech up to better robot workers that can be upgraded with higher tier skills, which are needed to gain access to higher tier resources and equipment. I'm starting to feel like having humans around is a necessary evil in this game. 😆
It's like there is this pen that's specifically designed to house the humans, and then there's the rest of the ship without breathable air and heating. You don't want anything you can't replace in the human quarters.
48 minutes to the start of Victoria 3 release stream.
Hype is real.
Yeah, the combat is not very interesting at launch.
Will probably get changed by the first major expansion.
So ... no more than a year from now.

as some one who plays paradox games with aggressive expansion in mind
my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
I fully emphasize and understand.
Having said that it's not a big deal to me.
There are a lot of Paradox games that do the aggressive map painting thing.
Vicky 3 will inevitably follow suit and do the aggressive map painting thing well.
hopefully
It's important to a significant player base. They will make it happen.
i already did the pre-order on paradox's website
Who knows, maybe I'll have a ton of fun building up my economy like I do in HOI
It is a major part of the game, so I should hope so.
can't wait for the grand campaign community to crack save transfers in three days so I can do muh grand campaign
Game should release in two hours.
Unless something goes wrong.
It has happened before.
I expect to get my key a little bit after launch, Paradox's site takes a bit for these things
I must have done the thing through Steam, because the game is already in my Steam library.
Just need to get it released, so I can start the download.
Vicky 3 released. 🥳
I'm sorry wtf why does the new junkenstein have jumpscares..?
Great
Stuck with junker queen ig
I liked it
I asked my friends if they wanted to play with me, then they all just got on and played without me… while I was still online
I realized today that people don’t like me :))))
I...liked playing junker queen
Huh
What an odd feeling
Also those were some bad jumpscares
Least they give a warning anyway
Damn wtf
That's an asshole move
sucks to suck igs
I mean the banshee gave me a bit of a jump and the marionette was creepy enough
Fair enough
Bad was the wrong word in hindsight: I suppose I'm just very over jumpscares as a whole because of a certain game franchise
Takes a really well placed one to actually get me
Every day I wake up and slowly come to terms with the fact that Cassidy is my favorite DPS on PC
For some reason he's the only one I have fairly consistent aim with as someone who cannot DPS for the life of them anymore
I...may or may not have spent the rest of my legacy credits on some emotes for him ;w;
I may or may not have neglected to produce enough basic resources to feed my textile mills.
The more I play Vicky 3, the more I learn how to read the different menus.
This game is basically Spreadsheet Warrior 3.
I love it ❤️
Man, it feels good to actually be able to hit a pharah
...I wonder what it is with my old DPS mains that just doesn't ring true on PC
Whelp ... that's it for me. I pressed the wrong button 🤣
The Russians were all like "Join our trade union, comrade! It's awesome!"
I was all like "Yeah, sure, sounds like an awesome deal! Let's be closer partners!"
... a few moments later ...
RIP my economy.
Ouch
RIP
I could push for higher taxes, but that's going to drive quality of life for the average man into the gutter.
Logically :3
Which is turn means less money and more radicals.
Not sure if I can break away from this trade union to save my economy. Leaving will probably piss off Russia, which is not great in the long-term.
But, yeah, I got some serious buy-in remorse right now.
Yup, can't do it for an entire year.
I'm going to hemorrhage so much money.
What I can do is scrap my construction industry.
But that means no more development.
No more increase in GDP.
That's just another death spiral.
Think hard
What would a government do
A. Hurt their people, or B. Hurt something that in consequence hurts the people
Disclaimer not every government manages this but most do
If this was modern day US they would go to the Federal Reserve and have them print more money.
But I haven't unlocked that option yet.
pfff
hm
is there anything else you could potentially cut off for even just a little bit to dampen things..?
I'm trying to find viable options.
You could (if this would even work in the confines of the game) carefully halt and start your industries little by little to make up the difference? Might be an idea that sounds good on paper but is horrible in execution though..
No, the industries are what are making people work. The work is what makes money I can tax.
The goal is to get more money, because right now I'm in a dangerously large deficit.
I got about 600k in gold reserves, but that's going to be gone in a blink of an eye.
Any...trading options?
Trading is not going to make a 10k deficit go away fast enough. In the long-term it's the reasonable and good option, but it takes years and decades to build trade relationships (effectively, in game terms, leveling up trade routes) to where they move significant amounts of taxable goods.
A level 1, fresh, trade route is going to net me 0.001% of what I need.
Hm
Yeah, those two options are really the only things that may help here: not even I can think of any alternative
Not that I've played the game but I do know a good bit of government (begrudgingly)
I do love how you can think your way out of most problems in this game.
I just got careless and signed into an agreement that I really should have stayed away from.
Yeah, I'm going to wreck my construction industry and start rebuilding it in a year when I can break away from the trade agreement.
I won't be doing much of anything for an entire year, but on the other hand ... no bankruptcy.
This means unemployment will go up, which is not great, but it's not the worst thing in the world.
Hm...so the issue arose from the trade union causing a spike in...wages?
What happened was Russia came to me with an agreement to bring Sweden's market into the Russian market.
Russia having a significantly larger market, I figured it was a great deal. I would get access to a much larger market to sell my stuff and make a killing in profits. What actually happened was the Russian market sucked up all of the critical resources my infrastructure needed to function properly, because the Russian market was running a severe deficit in the critical resources my market was producing.
And suddenly Sweden's economy collapses.
Ah
So they pulled an old "looks good, actually really bad"
Overwatch 2 is so much fun
Exactly.
What
What game?
Victoria 3.
Is that a politic sim?
It is but man can I not play it for long periods of time like the original
Just a matter of being older I guess
It is a social-economic sim with a side order of politics, war, and diplomacy.
It is a lot of fun to play, but there is a severe learning curve.
You gotta know government
And trade
And how governments interact
Which is the only reason why I can remotely comprehend what Cypress is saying right now
Alright, I managed to halve my country's deficit. I didn't have to completely demolish the construction industry.
I can survive this.
Definitely a learning experience, though 🤣
I can also lower government wages. The bureaucrats will cry foul, but at least they'll have jobs and bread on the table.
Yup ... there goes my Legitimacy. Under 50% now, which is not good as the current sitting president of the US of A can attest.
Uh ... I could try to reform the government as a short-term fix.
Let's try that.
Nope. That is definitely not happening. If I try to do that my Legitimacy takes a nose dive to oblivion.
Alright, I did it. Russia is mad, but I survived for now.
The downside is the Swedish market is still running a deficit in half a dozen critical resources.
Which means half of all industries are not working properly, because they lack the critical resources to function.
Need to import a ton of stuff while deliveries from farms, mines, and whatnot are redirected back into the local economy.
What a horrible mess.
I finished my Victoria 3 run yesterday. I did not do well.
Today’s session saw a rebellion escalate to a civil war, which luckily failed to do anything significant. I did temporarily dip into credit, but maintained a positive cash flow, so tomorrow I’ll start to rebuild a stronger and more resilient economy. Came close to a disaster, but got through it.
Learned a ton about how the game works today.
On the positive side there’s health care, Laissez Faire economy, and free trading.
The whole civil war thing caught me off guard, so for about fifteen minutes I sat and watched as armies smacked each other to a bloody pulp. Once it was over the ringleaders were summarily executed and the people knew peace once more.
But other than that I haven’t created any secret police institutions to crack down on dissidents. Could, but I feel like that’s a bad idea. Time will tell how things will develop. I’m hoping to get all the way to 1936 with this tutorial run. Even if I have to limp to the finish line.
Pulled a clutch Kiriko switch
Felt good
Well that was my 3 games for the day
2 close losses and 1 close win
I love that games are cut close more often, really makes everyone feel like they've done their best
My D.Va gameplay is still pristine after all this time
My winrate with her is definitely positive
Off chance we don't win I get plenty of endorsements :3
Super duuuper laaaate reply but try Beatstar on phone its a fun mobile rythmgame
I recently bought Just Dance for the switch its so exhausting but i love it
will have a look soon once available, tho might prefer to play on tablet (iPad) because of larger screen and battery life
Not sure if u want, u play it with your thumb
I think a bigger screen could be a handicap
Music games... Some people are obsessed but I don't get the appeal
Something I hadn’t expected was the inclusion of story events into Oxygen Not Included. I’m not sure if it’s an event chain or an unfolding mystery, but it’s in the game. Well, two of them, at the moment. It’s a curious thing that was added recently, so I decided to play Oxygen Not Included. It’s been a while, but the devs keep adding in more free stuff.
Also, I really want to go back to Wayward. There was a major update with tons of new content a couple of months ago. Never got around to diving back into the game.
Think I’ll take a break from grand strategy and enjoy just plain strategy for a while.
This is new and much appreciated.
It's easy to see at a glance if there's an issue.
Early game is about done. Not super happy about where the shower and bathrooms are, but during mid-game I'm going to completely rebuild this initial base. It's always like this in the beginning: you look around and make do with whatever resources are available at the start of the game. Afterwards you can start planning a better base.
So I practice DPS characters
Because I cannot DPS, the support main blood in my veins is only good at life-saving and occasionally going battle mercy
I cannot aim like I used to way back in the day
And, for some reason: I went from being unable to play Sojourn but decent at McCree, to unable to play McCree but decent with Sojourn
Quite an enigma
my singing monsters
Ohhh new OW hero
Why was Kiriko given animation short but these new ones are just moving pics
I mean not complaining bout kiriko, that shit was fkn amazing
But I want more animations!
The animations take a lot more time
Tbh kiriko and junker queen got one because they were kinda the big reveals for when OW2 released
Junker queen was already shown but never really elaborated on and kiriko was in the works
Then sojourn for some reason was just left out entirely
They maybe couldn't come up with a short story for her
There’s a mother of all updates slated for 11th May. It started out with a lot of promotion for an RP heavy DLC, but the free update will be full with of game mechanical crunch. There are features CK3 still lacks, but the game mechanics we are getting are superior to CK2.
It will probably take several more years to make CK3 amazing, but this year is doing a lot to solidify my belief in the CK3 dev team.
Meanwhile, Stellaris is getting a co-op mode. In the not too distant future players can play as the same space empire, which is a fantastic way to teach the game.
Victoria 3 is getting incrementally better with free updates. Armies, generals, and warfare is all still lacklustre, but Victoria 3 is already the premier economic and social revolution simulator of this decade.
Much love to all three Paradox Interactive teams.
New OW hero feels real good if you like cooldown and uptime management
Ohh, co-op in a strategy game like Stellaris would be cool
