This I know, as the guardians are ancient sheikah (shiekah?) technology

The hylians would have to full on dismantle the guardians though, just deactivating them does nothing as we see inactive worn-out guardians everywhere that become active from the malice

Unless they're missing enough components to where they're fully inoperable, nothing stops ganon from reactivating them

Only thing I can think of is that Zelda's power rendered them useless, but we also don't know if that was permanent or what

I'm just not counting the guardians out yet: I can see why they could be removed but I also don't see any major lore/development reasons to :3

The Blights get progressively stronger

Defeat one, the second you choose to fight will be stronger, and so on

Hence why Thunderblight would be a good first or second pick

Thing is with him is that if you don't want the yiga annoying you, you have to do him last

The problem with that quest line is the Yiga clan part

I imagine that the yiga clan will be more powerful than ever in totk because ganon will see them as an essential ally... Or just wiped off the face of the earth

Yup, though honestly I never found Yiga that much of a hassle. You can just ignore them and run away. The random encounters never stopping though, that's annoying

Well, Age of Calamity showed us they would become allies if Ganon were to have his way, so maybe they will be allies in TotK as well?

Since they don't seem to agree with what Astor had planned

And even less with what Ganon had

Ganondorf is intelligent though. The main reason why they were allies in AOC is because Astor sacrificed them. Would be cool if they were allies tho but new yiga weapons and stuff would be awesome

This won't happen but imagine the yoga clan just having their own vehicles and such. Having a mad Max battle in Gerudo desert

It would be wholesome if interactions would go to such extent. BotW was on the minimalistic side with interactions in general, so TotK improving on that would be amazing.

Oh, Val I have a super good tip

You can eliminate one of the most annoying parts of the fight (him shocking stuff out of your hands) with thunder resistance

It also makes his attacks less powerful, turning him into an easy fight like the others :3

I have a shock resistance potion, I hope it's enough

Imagine if the level of resistance is too low and it does barely anything

But yeah I didn't really care about the order of the way I explored

I did it in this order: ruta, rudania, meadow, naboris

Also, rearrange the inside of the divine beast so you have more space when he does his air-based move

It'll make raising the metal spikes he places a lot easier to pull up to him

Ah, I'm stuck in the lock where I go upstairs and instantly need to fight him

And I'm like: 🗿

So there's me panicking with magnesis

Trying to hit him with the poles

You might be able to just shoot him out of it with a well placed arrow but it'll do a lot less damage

Final piece of advice I can give is that backflipping to avoid his attacks will always be safer and more effective than parrying him

He's probably the hardest thing to parry in the game, even I can't parry him super consistently

Yeah thunder is the hardest, probably followed by fire blight because his sword does a lot of damage if it hits you.
That's because wind blight Gannons weakness is a bow, and water blight hits you about as hard as a pool noodle

I feel like while fireblight is the second strongest he's also the biggest pushover

He may do a lot of damage when he attacks but that's if he even gets to hit you

In well over a quarter and a half of all of my playthroughs he doesn't land a single hit on me and the fight lasts 3 seconds

But thunder is a giga Chad who can and will just obliterate you

Yeah, thunder just has no major way to cheese the fight

Unless of course you just prepare a bunch and stack level 3 attack boost with fully upgraded master sword which erases the health of any blight

It is established by age of calamity that the champion successors are all considered so to begin with because they either inherited power, or are already somewhat close to the original champions

We may just have to ignite the spark through combat to really get them to full strength

With the way the trailer really showcased an emphasis of "the new champions are trying to fight too" I think it might go this way

...

I got ancestors and descendants confused again

And also realized a better term would simply be successor

Oh, maybe it's an attempt to get them strong enough for the divine beasts? But I'm not sure where the divine beasts will fit in all this

Too many ideas, but I'm pretty certain that dungeons are a thing again which is gonna be weird but cool in the ToTK format

If I'm being honest, they've revealed a good bit of stuff lately that is vastly different than BoTW

I think so many new mechanics and things warrants a new game, same map or not

And I'd rather have them make an attempt to make the map a bit different than just leaving it as is

Especially considering they don't have much (if any) room story-wise to go "okay here's an entirely new map"

Sure they could've made the game entirely sky islands, but that excludes a lot about ganon's history which is in the land of hyrule itself

Tldr is that if they have to reuse the map for story reasons I am ok with it personally :3

ToTK's bullet time in a weird way is a little reminiscent of Revali's bow style with how link can hold his bow lower if he attacks while diving

And how it's no longer concentrating that takes up his stamina, as it's now presumably effortless for him to (ik it was just for game balance, but I'd like to think there is an explanation)

I think he'd be proud of link for becoming generally better at wielding a bow

If he were in the game or even mentioned, that is

I'm not saying he's the most amazing character

But I liked him the most out of the 4 because he had every right to be full of himself

Before it was retconned, it was stated his bow was much too difficult for anyone else to use (the bow is now passed down from sage to sage)

And his accomplishments were nothing to scoff at

But it's also how that arrogance is beneath that

Outside of when him and Link first meet he doesn't talk down to anyone: if anything he more than acknowledges everyone else's strength and just likes to flaunt his own

That cutscene I feel like was meant to be more playful than anything as that's how he is

Sure he's the usual "I'm kind of an asshole" character, but I think he's executed mostly well

Where if you really read into how he behaves you can see he's actually pretty fun

And if I'm being honest: because revali was hard to understand and came off as just an arrogant person, it's likely why nintendo made him so non-existent in ToTK

Quietly shelving a character no one understood well enough to like (partially because they didn't display him well in BoTW)

Might be why they shelved the champions in general really

But I also figured there wouldn't be anything past the sequel because 1. these zeldas were undeniably a massive undertaking and 2. totk felt climactic for that world even if I didn't really connect with the story

Would've been nice to get more context behind link's zonai ancestor, but I suppose they did figure everyone would just take that at face value

Ultimately, this solidifies that totk will forever be a game I just liked, and can't truly love like I did botw ;w;

Then also probably did it for balancing because let's be honest with ourselves the ToTS version of the Master Sword is one of the strongest we've ever seen (I think even with ToTK's being able to fuse to stronger damage stuff, it still beats ToTK's out of sheer durability alone imo)

Like, ToTS MS could run through 2-3 silver lynels with its durability (far as I can recall from all the silver farming I've done)

I've found that ToTK's lasts you roughly 1 and a half without stacking its odds with attack up and such

Maybe with stat bonuses ToTK's is slightly better, but without them I think it's a little no contest

You can maybe try the hyrule castle docks, which resides on the surface where the castle once was

I'm sure there's gotta be at least 1-2 glooms that are guaranteed and that might be one of them

It's entirely understandable why glooms are random spawn though

The demon weapons are stupidly powerful

How do they work actually

I have one of them I just haven’t tried them

I have the sword and the bow

Melee demon weapons will sap your health as they're used, turning your hearts into broken ones

This of course can be counteracted by using them in the day, or sticking something that heals you onto it

The bow however, is easily one of the strongest bows in the game

It increases in damage the more hearts you have, maxing out at a total of 60 damage

Which for a bow is really high

Imagine taking a bow like that to a gleeok

It won't last a second (and doesn't)

It's no 5-shot lynel bow, but it's certainly something no one in their right mind passes up if they have enough hearts

*3 mighty lynal bow, (5 is even better) max damage armour, topaz fuse. That will send them to god in 1 hit

It's Pokémon Legends Z-A (Zygarde and some other pokémon we don't know yet probably)

From the look of it, this game will either explain the creation of Lumiose city from the Kalos games (X&Y), or is taking place in a future version of Lumiose city

And judging by its focus on Zygarde (who was a forgotten Pokémon in the Kalos games as there was supposed to be X,Y and Z), it's safe to assume this is probably an X&Y prequel/sequel in some form

It is releasing 2025 (a pokémon game? actually getting time to develop? unheard of lmao) and from what Pokémon fans with a more trained eye were saying: mega evolutions are going to return

So more or less, Pokémon, if everything goes well, is going to completely knock it out of the park with this one

Yuzu was a well-known switch emulator that was around for a fair portion of the switch's lifespan

What finally got Nintendo to act upon it though, was Tears of The Kingdom being downloaded and played over a million times with the emulator before the game even released thanks to a major leak

They're suing Yuzu for about 1-3 million in damages and they have to shut their emulator down

I imagine this case has been going on for a good while in private and has only now been resolved seeing as it's been a minute since Tears of The Kingdom released

Muji is specifically the internal name for the system

Basically, every console gets an internal codename they use to talk about the console without naming it right then and there

Marketing then names the console legitimately once it's finished

And codenames sometimes have a relation to the abilities/features of the console, and sometimes they don't

If the switch 2's internal name is in fact muji, it's likely the latter more than the former really

I still think the internal names companies use are interesting regardless which is why I shared it

Switch's internal name was NX, Wii U's was Cafe, and 3DS while having several over the years with each version is famously known as Citra/Citrus

Even a lot of games actually get internal names prior to getting their final titles

Monster Hunter Rise I think was called like MHJapan or something kinda similar iirc

The ocarina of time water temple isn't complicated, you're just not separating it into the three different levels and are viewing it as one whole

When you separate it into the three levels, and go through each carefully, the dungeon takes like 30 minutes

Going from bottom to top like that makes the dungeon a thousand times more comprehensible than trying to brute force the logic

I expected more improvements I suppose, like more comfortable joycons (and no joycon drift)
Part of me wanted the dock to be able to read multiple switch gamecards so you could quick switch but oh well

The more comfort part I can't really answer but it's heavily rumoured that they will use a new type of joystick called hall effect which use magnets to massively reduce the chance of drifting.

There is a theory which is more or less cooperated by the trailer that you can use the joycons as mice which is a big W if they use it in that way.

Top charging port so you can actually charge the console in tabletop mode. Imo it's not one big thing but a ton of small things for this new one
