#when posting game times, meetups, don't forget TZ

Instead of assuming everyone knows whatever COH Standard Time is, it would be good to post the time to include the Timezone as a reference. Or, convert to UTC/Zulu time and let everyone calculate it themselves...but even that includes a TZ reference or offset.

Sorry, I do a lot of work shaping data logs and including TZ offsets/references and/or using something that doesn't move, like UTC, is just in my wheelhouse and my personal obsession. Too many years jousting that knight of vagueness.

If you are referring to the most recent announcement, it was specifically formatted to read in your current time zone.

We are trying to get into the habbit of taking advantage of a discord feature that will render time stamps in the readers local time. The issue with events is that it doesn't have the same feature

#

For instance the time stamp in the announcement should be in your local TZ

as i've never dived deeply into Discord, I can't help you with that.

#

But it isn't clear that it's MY time versus something else.

#

not a behavior I was even aware of. And if I noticed it, I doubt I'm the only one...

#

I just believe in feedback and trying to do things in a way that's as clear as possible to the widest possible audience...one of the problems with consulting with clients I think. Kinda brings out your inner type-A.

#

If we were looking in Splunk, I'd have checked my user profile to see what TZ b/c I know Splunk translates the time.

#

But, Discord...had no idea.

#

Even so, maybe a short blurb in the message, "time in your discord specified timezone" or something like that...?

#

'cause it's a cool feature.
