#Weird Popping Sound when starting and ending recording

So whenever I start and end a raw recording, it pops. I use a NT1 Signature along with a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen attached to my Mac Air, and using Audacity as my DAW. Is it supposed to be like that? The sampling rate's been set to be the same on my end (48000) and mono, so I am not sure what seems to be the case other than just cutting the beginning and the end.

Well, good news is you don't have a DC offset (where the position is constantly shifted a certain amount - you can't hear it, but it would cause a pop at the beginning and end of every clip) but the bad news is whatever is going on is kind of hard to tell just by the waveform.
If I had to guess, it kind of looks like the movement from you pressing a key to start and stop the recording is doing something? The distinctive pop is definitely because the start and end are cutting off at a non-zero level, which forces the speakers to instantly jump to those positions. But the cause seems to be some low-frequency rumble specifically just at the beginning and end.

Just tested again, albeit with whispering and it seems to have been heavily reduced, although I still hear some from the first clip I made (or I'm just paranoid)
