Ive been using this shitty laptop built in mic for all my voice acting and recording and videos and such, and im in dire need of one thats actually usable.
Preferably something in like, maybe the 20 to 30, 40 max dollar range thats international. I dont want sone expensive ass high tech mic. Just something that sounds good enough, and can be used on an actual tight budget

My advice is to save up...that is most definitely not the answer you are looking for, but it is the answer that will save you heartache in the end. If you want to be taken at all seriously your audio MUST be serious too. Skill is the most important thing to have, but with bad audio, nobody wants to listen to your recordings (look up viewer retention rates for videos with poor video vs poor audio) You don't need a $1000 mic, but get a decent low-budget option, there are plenty under $100 (Neat Worker Bee, AT2020, or buy a used mic and get a great deal) Get a used interface for less than $50 and then TREAT THE RECORDING SPACE this is much more important than the mic itself. Use stuff you already own, blankets, pillows, clothes. I have been on a severe budget many many times. I was late on rent, eating expired food, and spent all my tip money on a shitty mic...I was out $35 that I really needed, and got a mic that sounded terrible because I was in a rush just to do it. Time is on your side. Put a bit of money away as you can: 1 dollar here .25 cents there. You will get there sooner than you think.
hm, well i do technically have the money to buy something that costs a little less than 100, but i just wanted to use as little money as possible, yk. ill definitely consider the mics you suggested.
as for the space, i got it covered dw. i record in my school's music room cuz it has soundproof walls(yes the teachers allow me to do that), so i dont think ill need to worry about my environment
do you suggest those fancy filters too, or are those glorified flyswatters
It’s awesome you have that space, the pop filter helps, you can get one for less than $15. Or with technique you can minimize its necessity. Put a pencil in front of your mouth, talk off axis, both help a bit, but the pop filter is a big help, many mic kits come with them
thanks. i asked cuz i was searching around for AT2020s, and found an entire mic kit that had a filter, but it costed a bit more so i was a liiiil hesitant on spending an extra 5 or smth dollars idk what the conversion rate is. ill definitely consider it more tho, since im not exactly swimming in money
holy shit i have like 300 dollars with conversion, why did i think i had 40💀
@grave canopy hey sorry to ping you, but ive been looking around some mics, and with a lot of thinking, also decided to buy a boom arm. i hear you need a atleast decent one or else its going to lose tension and wobble fast, so is there anything you can suggest
(i decided to buy the AT2020USB+ btw)
I use the one from Samson, not that expensive but t does the job!
