I currently use a Stellar x2 with an Audient ID4 interface. For regular speech, I hit around 35(ish)db maximum, which has been bringing me higher levels of hell when processing and normalizing the audio. Alongside this issue this is also making hearing loopback very hard with headphones.
This is happening with these settings:
- Audient: 1-2 o'clock angle for gain, maximum sound level. I've tried to combine different combinations of gain and levels and while the audio is quiet, its the current clearest combination so far.
- I've tried changing the main power source and both options (direct connection to USB 3.0 port on a computer or powered hub) did not change anything
- Phantom power is on.
Am I cooked? Is this a normal occurrence with this microphone and I should just up the gain more? Could it be a cable or hardware issue?
