I'm still new to voice acting and right now I'm a college student, so budget is extremely tight, and I've been using my phone mic or the mic on my wireless ear buds to practice. Do you guys have any suggestions for microphones that I can be able to afford in the future. Also is phone mics not allowed, that part felt unclear
I just wanna know how to get better over time

If you're just starting out, you can look at some USB Mics like the Snowball to get started and see if you like voice acting. But if you want to get more serious, I have the RODE NT1 5th Generation XLR Mic. Good for beginners, but you will need a Interface as well to power your mic for recording. And find a good suitable place to record with plenty of padding to absorb sound.
