I'm 17 and trying out for this character in his late 20s. I don't think it sounds believable at all. Wanted to hear it from another person's perspective. Additionally, is there anything I can improve with this clip?

I think the audition itself is fine for the vocal "tone" but your voice comes off a bit tense like somethings keeping you from showing your whole potential in the first line. Additionally your microphone quality doesn't sound too good but it's fine if you don't want feedback on that aspect right now. Other than that it's pretty good, and besides the project being flagged if it were for another one this would be good with small tweaks.
The last line is very good and fitting from what I can see, I think the second line could sound a bit more like he's actually speaking to somebody, right now it sounds unrealistic

The first line sounds much better! It sounds more emotional and less tense, but for the second line it shouldn't be too aggressive (Unless the director wanted it) it should be more casual, like imagine your with your friends and your having a conversation with them and you learn that you have the "impossible mission" that kind of upsets you so your sarcastically saying "thats what you needed to get your blood pumping" just more casually and brief I hope this makes sense.
