#change to coordinate system

It’s personally bugging me right now, so here I am.

If you look at the compass at the top left of the screen you see first the value for the east/west direction, then north/south and then your current height. Which you could -falsely in this case- assume that this refers to the X Y Z coordinates.

But in every other instance in the game like setting markers or pinging nodes/veins it is not.

This just feels weird to me because it only seems to make sense when in ego perspective AND looking north. It also contradicts how we ascertain our location in real life using latitude and longitude.

Especially when you open the map, or otherwise consider a top down view, the Z coordinate should refer to the “depth”, meaning the height level.

So please, either change the way the coordinates are displayed to make it more uniform. Or maybe at it as an option that you can exchange the Y and Z coordinates in the settings.

Thanks

Actually, the height variable can be any of them, different programs use a different direction variable, because in the end it doesn't matter which one is actually used, it all depends on what each individual user is used to

here is an example of how different programs interpret this

in my country we are taught in school how the x y and z do not matter, because they are all interchangeable
