I would like to add: Different coloured cables disconnect from each other and they are creating separate circuits

color itself is useful but using it to seperate networks so they don't auto join would solve many issues that said it means that colors really need to be something you can do right away when you get cables or soon after not something that requires end game stuff to unlock and therefore can not be used when building the factory.

if i remember correctly, the paint roller is unlocked in the early game

Yea you may be right. I think paint is later on but maybe the roller does not need it. Have not used it myself yet

The roller does NOT need paint, can confirm

There's no way to get paint in your inventory for that matter

or maybe have it like pipes and you select the block type you want via the radial menu

This would be okay for me, too. ( Others are complaining about the pipes, but I like the pipes radial menu ).

But painting the data cables should be part of the game. This helps to not blow up the system ( "Cut the blue wire ! Not the red ! NOT THE RED !" 💥)
