I'm not trivializing your suggestion, but from a starting point of reference, how will it be different then just placing the 1x1x1 cubes in such a form?

Is there some additional functionality, or decorative element I'm missing?

well we can only make planes out of blocks, there isnt a way to give them volume too

i mean without manually building more layers

making box frames in addition to whole or hollow boxes, would be awesome, it would be a much quicker way of making sure any platforms i build have support beams, since im one of those people that cant stand to see floating platforms

Ahhhh ok, I haven't explored them much, because I don't care about floating platforms, but there in the deco category, there are various "struts" and such. Have you experimented with any of them, and were any of them even remotely suitable?

i think the struts and deco blocks look really good, but they dont match the foundation blocks by default, and i havent bothered to create paint so i havent bothered to implement deco blocks since i cant easily paint them to match the foundation

right now im mostly focused on running through the full progression, so i can have an easier time planning out and more fun building in the next playthrough
