i was trying to put a reshade on the files. theres no hl2

hl2.exe was replaced by gmod.exe a few months ago

Then how come reshade isnt working

No idea, reshade is a third party app which isn't officially supported by Gmod. Maybe someone else here knows, but you can also try contacting Reshade support about it
