Unfortunately it's gonna be real tough for me to write technical documentation that doesn't use scary words like "preamble"

"introduction" is a good start, the wiki isn't written as professional technical documentation, it's a stark contrast to every other page and makes it v difficult to read (the preamble bit was mostly a joke, the hole page is a hard read)

A preamble is not the same thing as an introduction. Preambles give information about a topic prior to it whereas an introduction introduces the topic.
