#Displacements lightning issue
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Interesting. Have you tried doing a HDR/-final compile
Put some orange looking rocks on that ridge, modern problems require modern solutions 😄
the original map does not contain any rocks
i have to fix it
issue appears on location of seams
of displacements
anybody?
Could it be because of the power of 4 displacements? Could try to make the displacements smaller and change it to 3
Could be texture alignment. On the right side of that hill it looks a little offset. Have you selected them all and aligned them as one?
Alternatively, creating more brushes for a smoother transition might help
no it's not
that's how it looks with full bright
textures are perfectly aligned
Ah yeah that's much more clear
Could be a strange lighting artifact. See if you can adjust how the brushes are designed e.g. smooth them out more or add more brushes to allow better subdivision
it's definitely the lightning issue
maybe i could play with luxel scale
nope
that doesn't change anything
Out of my expertise this one
could somebody try to compile this
maybe it's my hammer's problem
as i use slammin' compilators
i use hammers actual compilers
try to compile it yourself
Displacements are not sown
You have to make the displacements differently
You cannot sew displacements that are made on different levels.

i automatically generated it with terrain generator
i have no idea how to work with displacements and i fear them
as i'm absolutely incompetent in this question
guess i got to just accept this bug lol
Follow one or both of the tutorials and you'll learn how to use displacements.
Yes, but then you'll know how to do it properly. It will fix the issues with the lighting and sewing for this map, and for future maps.
