is this safe to delete to restore functionality?

the ugc folder is inside userdata/numbers/ folder and that is in the main steam install, my gmod is in another ssd

#

reverifying redownloads them but i get a long "updating" on the garry's mod in downloads

the long download/second long verification is for your workshop content

#

deleting steam files is not safe

its done, but nothing changed, still failed to read addon, what could be causing this

#

"Failed to read addon file F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\4000\1791388855\778476944155464099_legacy.bin! Does it exist?
Failed to load file for 1791388855!"

#

the folder of that number exists, but its empty, but i search for "778476944155464099" and it leads me to the ugc/referenced folder with "addon_uploads" with a .gma file inside that you need to extract with 7zip to get a file without a extension, you have to add .gma to that extentionless file to get the actual addon contents

#

i'm not sure if its related but i have 70,000+ tmp files for appmanifest_4000.acf that goes like this : "appmanifest_4000.acf.3009685254.tmp"

I don't know what that's about, you will probably want to contact Steam Support about it, as it's an issue with Steam, not the game

oh well, i found that deleting the "778476944155464099" folder in referenced while unsubscribed makes it work... just now have to do the same to 50+ of them
