#I see your HEV suit still fits you like a glove

Let me pitch you on the suit falling as the panel slides down so it's like the panel and suit are falling down into view and the suit is just a little bit behind it
if the start of the modelpanel is < 0,0 it wont render
and i couldn't figure out why as i did turn off clipping modes etc
I don't think I'm suggesting moving the modelpanel
it won't be visible as the panel slides in from offscreen. big pop in
To be clear, I'm suggesting that instead of this placeholder, gray version of the suit, you instead have the actual suit like 50 units above the plate
i could move the plate upwards to simulate that while the panel is moving
I must be missing something about how this "Scene" is constructed because I don't think it should be the kind of change that causes issues
it is physics in the menu btw, it has to collide with the plate, it is physical, physicsinitbox and mass that makes the bounce
Is the plate falling, or being animated into place in some way?
it falls, it just wakes up at the wrong time if you spam it because its a timer with no identifier
the reference i was playing hard on was "who's that pokemon" anyways with the silhouette
If that's what you're going for then you should keep what you have
you gave me an idea to just move the objects in the scene instead of the camera though
(it does both in there)
I'm just thinking about it from a timing perspective. The ideal timing, in my mind, is one where the plate and the suit are both falling out of the sky at the same time with the plate landing moments before the suit comes down onto it and wobbles into place
Like someone dropped them together, but the suit doesn't quite fall as fast
the plate would be better to be static in that case and make the camera trick you, or have invisible colliders instead, otherwise vphysics wont do the same thing each time

it'll be swapped out for an actual floor/background eventually
The suit could be frozen just above the plate while the camera moves up, then when the plate is in the right position you stop the camera, unfreeze the suit, and give it a downward starting velocity to make it look like it was falling
it already does that, minus moving the camera to trick you
If it's something that potentially interests you, it sounds like it wouldn't be that much extra effort to prototype it at least
i'll take a look and see what happens, i hate lerp functions
Ignoring that horrid slander against my good friends, I think this kind of physical menu is a great thing to have in a gamemode
Really adds to the tangible feel and physicality of it
Add a glass breaking sound on 0:15 and nobody would raise a question about such behavior
