if youre trying to use maps not from an addon i think fastdl is the preferred solution

maps get automatically added to workshopdl

your script will make it so all of them download when a player joins, aka multi gigabyte download for no reason

if you play with friends its not that bad since theyll be cached for next time but for public servers its not good
