Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life is a youth drama that follows the revival of the Tokise High School Koto Club, which is on the verge of disbandment after its senior members graduate, leaving the meek Takezo Kurata as the sole remaining member. The club's fate changes when Chika Kudo, a misunderstood student with a reputation as a violent delinquent, demands to join to honor his late grandfather, a koto maker who believed in him despite his troubled past. They are soon joined by Satowa Hozuki, a musical prodigy from a prestigious koto school who seeks to forge her own path after being estranged from her family's rigid traditions.
Basically it's about music and friends overcoming their problems together and doing their best to get to nationals.
(It have 2 seasons it made me cry 3-4 times in between)
