Fruits Basket is a really touching anime about Tohru, a super kind high school girl who ends up living with the mysterious Sohma family after losing her mom. Everything seems normal at first until she finds out their secret: when hugged by someone of the opposite gender, they turn into animals from the Chinese zodiac.

It started out as a really funny, weird situation but turns into something deeper. Each member of the Sohma family is dealing with their own pain and insecurities because of the curse and their pasts. Tohru’s warmth and kindness slowly help them open up and start to heal <33

I was bummed that ||the second prince never finds out that she's the silent witch|| but ik it's better that way for the plot
