Disclaimer: This show is rated R - 17+, and it contains sensitive topics such as suicide, self-harm and abuse (among others), so keep that in mind before deciding to watch it!

After the suicide of her only friend Koito Nagase, 14 y/o Ai Ooto is left grappling with her new reality. Without any motivation to do anything, Ai follows the instructions of a mysterious identity and ends up buying a ''wonder egg''. After breaking the egg in a world that materializes during her sleep, Ai tries to save the people she finds there from their own demons, believing that doing so she can manage to save her best friend.

Even though this anime doesn't go as deep into the psychological genre as anyone would expect it to, it still offers a pretty interesting, and rather dramatic, story with a psychological touch that falls in the ''twisted magical girl anime'' category popularized by Madoka Magica. The story is backed up with an intricate narrative structure and gorgeous animation, along with a solid soundtrack that mixes electronic tracks with classical orchestration.

I don’t like it. It’s not cute or action packed.

Also I don’t see how it would be R-17. I mean it’s not bloody and gory and sexual. It isn’t like Chainsaw Man or Elfen Lied or GANTZ or Hellsing for crying out loud!!!
