#[Solved] Card declined

I was trying to claim $60 in credits, but my card keeps getting declined repeatedly.
Debit or Credit?
Check on the bank side/site as well. Some banks explicitly require Intl Transactions enabled.
some sort of enabling international transactions?
Kinda. I dont remember which banks but some indeed have this disabled by default. not sure if it was SBI 🤔
my BOI
I’ve been shopping internationally for years, including in Canada and the US, and I also have a premium subscription for Adobe.
with same card
I don't know what the issue is here, so I'll go and ask at the branch tomorrow.
Is there anything blocking a $150 authorization charge?
The $150 charge doesn’t seem to be the issue. I received an OTP from the bank for a 0.00 USD verification, so I don't believe it's related to any type of authorization problem.
can you DM me your account email?
Sent a request as you can't accept messages from server members
nvm. i think i found your info
so on our side, it just says declined and that you need to contact your card issuer
mine info is everywhere 😅
My DMs are open. someone DM'd me earlier today
these are my settings. What are yours?
it looks like same tho 🤔
everythings breain for me
I checked with my bank, and they mentioned there was a server issue yesterday, but otherwise, there’s no issue with my cards. International payments should work, but it’s still showing as declined. I’ve tried both Visa and Mastercard, and neither is going through.
Is there a way we can add Stripe integration on the website? It charges less than PayPal around 0.70$-0.90$ depends on currency conversion on a $15 subscription so it might be a better option overall.
there's been no new request today 🧐
Yes, of course! I didn't try today, and I didn't mention that earlier. I was talking about yesterday. Let's try now
sorry im seeing the same error on our end. the bank declined it. you'll need to reach out to your bank
I've already reached out twice. How is the bank declining the payment when I have 2FA verification on their app? I can only receive OTPs after verifying, so it doesn't make sense.
I’d like to suggest a feature request to add other payment integrations like Stripe or Razorpay in Appwrite, as I'm not the only person facing this issue.
I understand the complexities involved with payment processors and their associated fees. I believe it’s important to consider the experiences users may have when attempting to purchase the pro version. If some users encounter card declines, it could deter them from subscribing, which we all want to avoid for the growth and success of Appwrite.
I want to emphasize that I’m not bringing this up in a negative way; I'm simply sharing a concern. I’m unsure if other regions face similar issues, but here in India, some users have reported problems. While it may not affect everyone, every user’s experience matters in the grand scheme.
Sorry, I'm not sure. Bank blocked it so not much we can do
Heh look at the network logs in the Console 😉

Do you see where the network requests are going to? 😜
Looks like it’s time to switch banks; they’ve been lying to me for the past two days. 😤
Thank you for your time; it's much appreciated! I'm sorry for taking up your time as well.
[Solved] Card declined
No worries at all! Let us know if you are able to get your card working and what the bank did. Maybe it'll help others
I thought the same! If I can resolve the issue, we can pin the solution so that anyone else facing similar problems can find it easily
I think I got the solution, the card declines because the bank blocked it intentionally
To prevent scams or fraud banks sometimes block international transactions.
- Contact your bank or visit their website.
- Check your settings for international payments.
In my case the international payment limit was set to ₹10000 by default, and I had reached it. Once I updated the limit my card started working again.
If this doesn’t resolve your issue reach out to your bank and specifically inquire about enabling international payment services.
This is for my debit card. I also tried my credit card, but I found that the international payment option was not enabled on it which is why the card kept getting declined.
