Creating a new account using the same email that a deleted user had gives me the error: "A user with the same email already exists in the current project."

The user/email does not exist in the Auth/Users list.

How can I fix this?

since you've tagged Cloud, its quite possible that the deletion worker hasn't run.
Does it happen even if you use the same email id after a while if deleting first account with same email? like around an hour or two?
