Dynamite Wagon: The GERMAN tooltip for it does just say "Produces dynamite" but MISSES that it only uses iron!

We find the dynamite wagon confusing. When we first got it, it said it was level 1, but had a note saying it lowered the wagon level. Does that mean the dynamite wagon is actually 0 and won't blast anything? We tried it, and it seemed to blast in a 1 tile radius.
Later, at the smithy, we removed the nerf from the dynamite wagon. Presumably this means it is now at level 1. But the ensuing blast didn't seem to be any bigger.
Then we upgraded the dynamite wagon, so it was now level 2...but couldn't see a discernible difference in the blast still.
We gave up using dynamite then. Is it actually worth upgrading? Does it perhaps have to be a much higher level to have a significant blast range?
The level decrease extension can't decrease the level of a wagon below 1.
It might have bugged out in this case, but in general it just means you'd have to increase the level one more time to increase its level to level 2 unless you remove the extension.
right, so we removed it and then upgraded it...but the blast just always looked like it was minimal, compared with Unrailed 1's dynamite blast progression
After you upgrade the tnt wagon, the actual tnt (
) doesn't upgrade instantly as it was in U1
So you have lvl 1 wagon with a ready lvl 1 dyna . After you upgrade it to max lvl 6 and get extensions for increasing lvl or range, it will still be a lvl 1 dyna ready to use but on a max lvl wagon . You will need to create a new dyna and it will be max lvl ( i hope it's not too confusing )
The current wagon is way too op. if you upgrade it to a certain level mining is optional. The max level of dynamite is twice as high as it actually should be. If you have dynamite at the endgame the only reason you would fail is a choke.
Increase the hitbox of the dynamite, especially on level 1-3 we often had problems gripping the dynamite, especially when the train was driving at an angle or upwards.
Is it possible to show the explosion radius when placing the dynamite. I've upgraded it and when placing, I think I'm far enough, but I'm not.
Good point, that might be interesting to add since we already have it for the Throw ABility.
I think it's visually a lot harder than before to see / differentiate the wagon, see when a dynamite is ready and the level of it.
There's a massive gear icon when one is being made, and the dynamite changes appearance at certain levels.
I do agree, especially in the first dynamites levels where the dynamite is so little.
On the higher level, color is not always visible and dynamite seems a bit tiny.
The massive gear is not really visible, especially when it ends, it doesn't catch the eyes.
What was really helping in U1 was the counter ofc and the fact you saw the wagon opening up with a "ready sound" (so 3 indicators + the dynamite was bigger/more visible)
Ah yeah it is pretty small at lower levels. Overall I think the audio cues in the game could be louder and more distinct.
But I think that's for its own feedback post.
I don't find the gear helpful, the opposite actually. Other wagons also have it... To me it's just visual pollution! It doesn't give me really helpful information and make the visuals overall less readable.
The gear is a processing meter, shows you the progress/duration of things being done
I know UR1 Dynamite wagon uses a number display
BUT with the UR2 wagons being so small, using a number display would be way worse
And again, if the wagon is moving up/down you also can't read it
As in Unrailed 1, I think the dynamite wagon is awesome, but useless when you have it on L1.
In U2, we usually bought it and put it directly in storage until we were able to upgrade it. It's the only wagon so far we've bought and felt like it's useless on level 1.
The dynamites don't always have fuse visuals, particularly if you're zoomed out alot on some maps.
tbf most wagons aren't that useful at level 1
For me most wagons contribute already on level 1, even if it's little...piggybank wagon, compactor wagon, water wagon, ghost wagon etc.
But dropping a tool or resource, getting the dynamite, putting it somewhere, waiting for the fuse....it's probably faster to just mine those pieces yourself.
Only use for dynamite level 1 that I can see is if you have enough players for both tools being contineously in use.
Collector, turret, miner, there’s plenty that barely do anything at level 1, the examples you gave were some of the best you could’ve picked

considering how dynamite is still the only wagon that can stand up at any stage of game, it more than makes up for it with the bolt expense of levels.
same with the collector, you gotta max it out for it to be worth a darn
In U1 it was still usable at lvl 1, especially in time mode
Like U1, dynamite in the wagon should explode when the wagon crashes.
