This may actually be my favorite game that I have ever played. The game's universe fascinates me, and the ability to explore everything and interact with so much of the world in unique ways scratches an itch that I have had for a long, long time.
That said, I feel the ending was very lackluster. The entire game I was wondering what retirement would be like. I've read all the advertisements, I've seen the letters that go unanswered, I see that even "successful" people in the city fear that they would be an embarrassment to their friends and family in The Fields.
So when I finally got to a high enough rank, I put in my retirement application, and then the game ends with little resolution. I feel like it's supposed to be a cliffhanger, but I think it would be really cool to expand on the idea of The Fields and move the player there when they retire, whether it be the heaven it is told to be, or something more sinister.
I think it would significantly improve the game to have a small area outside of the city that you are moved to when retiring. If nothing else, it would serve as a purpose to further reveal this very interesting world you guys have created.
