Spotting a clue that someone is about to get murdered (like the email to the doctor with the paranoia for example or a threat written out or the person literally finding you and asking for help) should fire the murder case immediately, with there being a large bonus if by the time you solve it nobody has died. Ofc there would have to be clues and evidence (with the heavier ones being the murderer writing down his plan somewhere in his house, or a lighter one being for example someone often being close to the victim). The dialogue option when arresting should be “i am arresting you for suspicion of planned murder”, eventually attempted murder if the person already hit the victim but you arrested them before they could finish the job (and in that case you dont need the evidence as the police will already see all the evidence by taking him when you caught him in the act).
