The concept of getting perks for higher social credits is super cool, but I found myself wanting with the actual perks that were implemented.
#A Social Credit Perk overhaul for immersion and difficulty!

For reference, here are the original in-game perks added as part of the new update:
2 You can now purchase apartments in the city.
3 Enable fast travel to your apartment.
4 You are now allowed to loiter in a bar or restaurant without buying anything.
5 Enable fast travel from your apartment to previously visited locations.
6 You are now allowed in Echelon community areas.
7 Visiting your apartment will grant removal of basic negative status effects.
8 Enforcers will allow you at crime scenes.
9 Citizens are more likely to allow you into their homes.
? Telephone calls made using public telephones are free.
? Citizens are more likely to reveal information for free.
? Fast travel to building entrances using exit signage.
? Citizens less spooked if you tail them.
Bonus:
L + RATIO + FATHOMS SCUM + ON THE ENFORCER WATCHLIST + ON THE CITY HALL BLACKLIST + ON THE COMMERCIAL SECURITY BLACKLIST + ON THE REAL ESTATE BLACKLIST + ON THE COMMERCIAL UNTRUSTWORTHY LIST + ON THE FAST TRAVEL BLACKLIST + ON THE ECHELON BLACKLIST + NOT RECOGNISED AS A DETECTIVE + NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETIREMENT TO THE FIELDS
Pretty cool ideas, and I definitely like how they would make the world experience more oppressive which is definitely in line with the current design
agree!!!
There are enforcer watchlists??
I just started a hard difficulty and that is crazy
Not in game, I made that up for this write-up!
ooo
that would be great
would require an over haul of the bounty system
like the moment you leave carrying something stolen you don't lose the "bounty"
you gotta get that shit off your person before getting searched
Also for number 8 I assume people who committed the actual crimes will make shit up to not look suspicious or just flat out refuse to answer, right?
that and you cant sell to pawn shops with your low social credit: you gotta see the black market
Thats outside of the scope of this overhaul
A lying update would be good though
either way I love the list, great concept and I hope it gets implemented
selling from home would be a good unlock since it is such a good option over using a pawn shop anyway
More / new perks are great in my opinion. But i think the perks designed as you intended should also reflect the other side of society. Having a low social rank should give you a better access to marginality or poor people. While on the contrary, they would probably mug you much more often when you're an Echelon and roaming the dark streets alone at night, or refusing to even speak to you, or demanding big money for anything.
Otherwise, when you give more and more bonuses to the player in a game that basically doesn't scale in difficulty with you, the end game becomes trivial and uninteresting.
