alright hear me out on this one.
in this world its already established that social credit and wealth are the ultimate determiners of social status. i dont think there is enough actual difference between being a level 0 street urchin and gigazillionare level 10 corporate demon.
the biggest thing i think could differentiate this is having it so apartments are limited based on social score.
level 0 - you can't buy any. hotels only for you buddy.
level 1 to 4 - fathoms only.
level 5 to 7 - normal apartments become available.
level 8 to 10 - echelons become available.
another feature could be higher-end stores that only sell to certain social credit tiers. they could sell rare items that you could only get there - maybe have swords and katanas only able to be actually bought at a high end antique store that only sells to level 5 and up, or have some resteraunts kick you out because they assume based off your score youre too broke to actually buy food.
another thing could be civillians commenting on you based on your score. echelon residents will be demeaning or sometimes outright refuse to speak to you if you're a low score, while the poor and homeless might insult you if you have a higher score.
this could also tie into new murders - a poorer, lower score citizen goes on a classicide spree against the rich, upper scores, or vice versa and an echeloner starts murdering the poor, viewing it the same way someone throws away trash.
