There is no redo, there is no reloading, one save, one life, if you get shot or stabbed, fall from too high, or anything else...that's it, game over, save deleted, and.you get a newspaper about how you failed and died

yup, but having it officially in the game would make it easier to do and just be more fun imo than trying to follow a made up list manually

Also, I would only welcome a hardcore mode once all the issues about falling out of geometry is resolved: imagine coming close to retirement, only for it all to end because your character fell through the floor while running along the streets…
