It seems silly that a note tells you someone’s passcode, but it’s just one code that (usually) works for a door, their safe, and their PC. Surely there should be some variation.

No, password/code reuse is a real thing. It might be a bit more so in the game than IRL, but not by a huge margin.

it makes sense in terms of personal accounts (email, forum, shop accounts etc)

but it doesn't in enterprise literally anything as most of the time the password is actually set for you

and if the government database's password is sys admin's locker password (that is also his birthday year) then that's a lawsuit waiting to happen

🤷 In what court? But yeah, it is a bit cartoony, although not to a degree that doesn't match the rest of the game in my opinion.

I think its ok i use one code for everything too

While it can be a bit extreme at points, I think it's unfortunately a little bit tied to the framework of the game itself and how it handles code "ownership"
