Many times when you get a case, you have extremely limited information. But when you get the case like from a briefcase or a guy talking, you atleast have an oppertunity to look into who it is who's hiring you. Then snooping on them could reveal more tangible leads!

You can find fingerprints on briefcases for example, and you're told which division enforcer jobs are from. This would add another cool layer to the investigation i think!

On that when people call you on a payphone, or bar, i think it should be possible to trace the call, so you have a chance to find out who it is hired you.

Honestly there just needs to be better information for jobs. Like every job the game gives you should include at least a location.

#

I don't think it makes much sense that the person hiring you would have additional information and then not give you that information.

i agree partially. It makes logical sense that they would just give you everything full address and all. But doing the extra hunt is actually pretty fun, the few times it has worked. I only did it because a steam guide said that's how you could get more information

They were wrong.. But the idea is cool. Like breaking into enforcer offices to get more tangible information on a suspect is really cool, and i would love if it was a real mechanic

it could be explained away as just sloppy work, like they put an arrest warrent out and gave a vague description off someone eye-testimone, but left out the person giving the testimone because that is private. And breaking into enforcer office you could find a file or similar about the person who gave that testimone and maybe get more information that way

Or with private people, the reason they leave stuff out could be because the reason they want something is personal, so they don't wanna give out too much information. You could come up with reasonable excuses. I care more about interesting hunts than it being super logical imo. If you could do both though that would be great

i agree but i just want to add that this is already a strategy

it's just instead of there being tangible leads it's more 'it's often a co-worker or person in the same building' so if you check their work files or the residential files (assuming the correct one generated) it'll auto-confirm for you
