#Personal computers / Crunchers archive past cases

I realize that it may not be possible to save the boards where you pin the clues, but can you have text fields of the cases that were turned in for resolution like, suspect name, address, etc? Also the name of the case, date and time, payout, and end results - did it pass or fail?

Basically I'm asking for a text log of past cases that the player can access from their own number cruncher from the "desktop" and new "folder icon" that says "case archive"

Great way to keep track of the game and to take screenshots to keep score with other players on online and for bragging rights

I can think of an easy way to implement this on a database.... make a table for case types, another table for names (for murders), make a table for cases that contain an id for case types and id for case names, and then the date, time, suspect (if applicable) and other case details.

Sorry, it's been a while since I worked on databases, but hopefully the devs get the idea

I think personal crunchers definitely need a use in general. On top of archived cases, maybe a note pad and some other stuff?

like the F1 function in your menu.....

If your character begins to forget old details like fingerprints and stuff, the archived cases would help you remember them. I like this.

I would be all-for creating your own text files on number crunchers, so you can write down your personal experiences on a case. Maybe even something you can printout and pin to your board (like a checklist for those times you forget to ask the neighbours if they saw anything suspicious).

I personally would love to be able to file away old case files in the filing cabinet - though doing it on the crunchers is not a bad idea either. Filing away old cases in a filing cabinet seems obvious.

personally i'd prefer that you store it in your house with expandable server space you can buy and you can access it via the cruncher
