Not necessarily strays, but cats for the player to trip on and to track blood with their paw prints and meow loudly in the dark, small dogs that yap loudly to alert the owner, big dogs to wrestle down the player, and maybe birds in cages that tweet loudly to also alert the owner.

Plus the player may choose to get a pet for themselves.

I doubt this would be happening, but I would like to see this someday

Agree pets would be amazing but I think it would need to be added in after a solid well polished base game is ironed out, pets would add soo many more mechanics idk how flexible the current system is to stuff like this.

Although I would'nt give every NPC a pet but just add it as a low % chance that adds extra flare and difficulty to an exciting case.

In that note a side quest for missing/Stolen/kidnapped pets would be cool, no dead pets though please.

I agree 100% on all this
