#In Depth Difficulty Settings

The biggest problem to me is that, barring game bugs, every piece of potential evidence is always accessible in consistent locations, which is kinda unrealistic. Even deliberately ignoring the government database, it makes things too easy, especially once you recognize the limited number of murder types. Every password is on a note, so I've almost never used codebreakers. Personal files both always exist and are always in the armoire -- I don't have my IRL birth certificate, I'd have to get it from my parents or request a copy from the government, but I've never needed it. Romantic partners always live together AND are both on the lease, neither should be guaranteed. From a gameplay perspective, the devs have to guarantee every case CAN be solved, but some kind of slider that scales back how many avenues are available to collect info on a person would be awesome.
