#a way for guns to be in game, along side a gun shot,

a ya, gun bad, but what if you could buy gun and ammo for different effects.

shock ammo, disables cameras at a range, and able to shock guards and such, makes a bang on impact alerting people in the room that a noise happened.

speed dart ammo, silent and able to knock someone out so they don't fight back, silent so no need to worry about people coming to investigate.

black light bullet, an aoe that makes any fingerprints an area glow bright so its easier to scan the area and see what you missed

tracker dart, same as blood hound but a one-time use

flash bang rounds, same as a flash bang but effects are weak 1/4 the power and time stun a normal flash bang does.

rubber ball/sandbag round, just a nasty one punch, loud bang with a powerful punch to knock anyone out.

a new gun shop could sell different guns and ammos so you can use different ammo such as buckshot, 8m pistol, suppressed pistol, rifle bolt action, and maybe a grenade launcher to fire larger rounds more powerful than some bombs we got now.

also drunk right now so ya...

I think tasers could work but i don't know if they would like the idea. I think it could work

I just don't understand how you can justify guns being so easy to find for civilians but then don't allow you to use them in any sort of capacity except as a bludgeon

I get it's not the dev's vision but it's also an immersive sim, we like options.

Take Dishonored, for example, it's an immersive-sim (like) and also is marketed as a stealth game. You are not even required to kill a single person in the game.

BUT, if you want, you can throw stealth and restraint out the window and go nuts, There's the option to go in sword slashing, guns blazing, bombs booming if you want to.

Yes this is a game about investigation and exploration, but there's also a combat system, and you're outmatched against npcs with guns usually. Fleeing is an option, but fighting should be one too

So adding usable guns + a way to work around the "killing issue" that fucks up the simulation should resolve this (the lethal action mod figured some of it it out shrugs)

Any concerns about it trivializing the game could be easily solved with a wanted system with escalating enforcer response if/when somebody reports you, and harsher consequences for dying/getting caught

I think that non-lethal ammo is the way to go, but make the ammo somewhat expensive so you don't go on a crazy killing streak for a nuke
