A small but "realistic" mechanic, the ability to incrementally open and close doors and shelves. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up the first time I was searching someone rooms as they were sleeping RIGHT NEXT to me, only to find out that SOME of the interactions make noise. Even closing doors is completely silent

Adding incremental interactions will make sneaking around much more tense, immersive, and satisfying.

A "shift click to be quiet" would be nice. Actions are slower, but they're done quietly so you're not giving yourself away.
