I Make Too Much Money

Money is already a problem due to lack of money sinks or things to spend it on, but I feel like I make way too much. So many cases are worth thousands of dollars only for five minutes of work. It can be said 'they're paying for a service', but even if there were money sinks or things were to be more expensive, with how much I make it'd be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

There definitely needs to be some sort of difficulty scale that makes cases harder for money, or if there is one it'd be great to have it dialed back.

If money ever actually has meaning in this game I feel it'd be better to lower the amount instead of inflated numbers.

i think it would also help to have a legitimate reason to buy very expensive things, i mean i just solved my first case and 5000 cr is kind of an excessive reward if there’s nothing much to save for except for the expensive apartments that aren’t really… that different?

but you’re right the amount of money you make and the amount things cost are very incongruous right now

What if the post-its next to the phones only paid trash and then you could afford a big money-sink PI office where the big-money jobs could come in. Also - something like a guaranteed level of information (with partner job title being very low on the minimum 'score' of info) would make it okay to to give SERIOUS penalties for failure.

even if there are high paying jobs, them being just on a random corkboard is weird

would be better to have the higher paying ones in their own place or given when you buy an office in the future

having a purchaseable inbox of some kind that would send you jobs when they’re posted on bar corkboards would be tight

being able to put lab facilities in your office/apartment would be very cool as well if they ever update the fingerprinting system to be more complex

they could even make it so that at first you need to pay a lab fee to get fingerprints analyzed, otherwise you’d just have to piece them together

i would love to dust for fingerprints and being able to send them to a lab for a report or something

same with blood types

then once you buy your own, you can fill it with some machines to allow you to expedite the process

albeit that's probably best for it's own suggestion
