#More Security for more doors.

Currently the doors only has 2 door types : Key locked and Code locked. (Note I am only discussing doors here, not safes.)

They have their own variety of skins and quirks between them but their locking method is usually just the same as others. Not only is this very limited but it often makes many areas, especially upper end areas like city hall, quite easy to consistently break into without much resource usage or consideration beyond just not being seen.

There is also an issue with the Keypad doors, you can lockpick the doors without the pad code and it'll unlock the door without an issue.

Immediate suggestion : Remove the ability to lockpick keypad doors OR make them extremely long to pick. (Like triple the strength)

Door suggestions : More security types for doors, here's a couple easy spitballs.

Deadlocks : Most people usually have them if they care about security beyond a door knob. Some people even get extra locks that require a second key, which would force a second lockpick.

Complicated Locks : This would mainly be for the case of the Lockpick Kit becoming an item and not just giving 30 lockpicks, these locks would be unpickable through normal means and require a kit, much like the codebreaker is meant to brute-force code locks, this would be your method for these.

Keycard doors : No code breaking or key picking with this, hope you're observant of the items around you or able to snag it off someone. Probably mainly for stuff like factories, upper businesses or city hall.

One-way doors : One side doesn't have a doorknob, this would mainly be used on diners or other eating places, primarily for staff to take trash out to a dumpster. It's meant to prevent people from just opening the back door and walking in as there isn't a knob to open from that side.

Computer operated : A locked electric door that is operated from a security room's computer. I'm not sure where you'd put something like this in the generation but it could have a use for something.

I like this idea. Certain areas should require much more investment to gain access too.

Would also be nice if the tools to gain this access were either costly and/or scarce. Things such as codebreakers are just too easy to get(economy issue mainly).

Nice door suggestions. IMO these fit well enough into the world and it would do a lot to make the game more interesting.

Things such as keycards and computer access would make getting into somewhere feel much more involved.

#

Some places could do with having to answer a bunch of questions correctly to gain access too. Like getting past some sort of security booth where an NPC decides to buzz you in or not.

#

And the NPC would remember if you were BSing and failed, so you would have to come prepared.

#

Maybe checks like if you know whos the boss? Whos this random guy who works here? Lots of ways to go with this

I like these doors regardless of any future changes. People have Work IDs right now, so using them as tokens for keycard doors depending on their employee role would fit right in. It'd also kinda possibly make it easier to break into workplaces though...
